Christmas Week at Magic Kingdom Questions

I see that Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party doesnt run during the week of Christmas. I have heard that the Castle lighting still happens. Not sure if that is true or how it works. I am assuming there isnt a show associated but do you guys know?

Also do they run Christmas themed parades during the Christmas week?

The Christmas parade from MVMCP will be the afternoon parade during that week. The Castle lighting does still happen and does have a show to light it up for the night each night.

They don't have the party during the week of Christmas because that week is too busy to close the MK at 7:00. And even when the party is going on, you don't need to go to the party to see the castle lighting. (Although last year they did something different and had 2 castle lighting shows on party nights - one before the party and one during.)

The last Christmas party happens around Dec 21 or so.

With Christmas being on a Friday this year, I would expect the last party to be on the 18th.
