I seem to have this obsession with Christas Villages. I am currently rocking 3 of them right now. I cannot control myself. Is anybody else all excited about Christmas villages? This is my exclusively Dollar Tree village. I am am still working on the hodgepodge village, I have another piece on order from Kohls. Dept 56 has about priced me out of the market.

I saw someone bought the Dollar Tree village, spray painted them all white then did trim work in metallic gold. It was beautiful!!!

YES, I have a village ~ my Mom painted the entire thing. While I really don't have a functioning place for it, when she passed a couple years ago it became important to me to put out. Last year for my gift my DH built one of these ladder shelves and the village sits on it in my big kitchen window.

I have been putting up our Christmas Village for 30 years now. Gets a little bigger each year. Currently it takes up most of our family room. At last count, there are about 92 lighted buildings, a dozen or so moving accessories, two waterfalls, about 150 people and over 100 trees. Here is a link to some pictures I took when I put it up in 2020.

Labor of love, I guess.

I’ve had a small Snow Village for about 30 years. It is only large enough to fit on the window seat, in my dining room. Since I’m retired from our town’s PD, I had to have the police station with the attached doughnut shop! And I love the skating pond. It all looks so pretty, lit up at night. I usually leave it up thru January.

Yes! I love Christmas Villages! Ours takes over the top of a corner fireplace every year. The little train from Walmart runs through our homemade tunnel and around the Dept. 56 Swan Lake and a Farmall Tractor barn. The Coca Cola gas station is also Dept. 56, but everything else is from the Lemax line that Sears used to carry here. I miss buying a new building on clearance after Christmas now that Sears is gone. I'd like to add a few more pieces.

I have probably 15 or so pieces of the Kohls St. Nicholas Square Village, but I haven't put them out in years. I just don't have a good place to display it.

Well you got me beat. We have over 30 Dept 56 buildings including several Disney ones. We also have a smaller collection for Halloween

We keep ours up about the same amount of time but don’t start until after thanksgiving

Wow! The details in this are just amazing! I can't imagine putting all this out every year, though.
There is this overwhelming feeling that starts at the end of October. I used to start on Halloween night, now I start around Veterans Day. It takes about a week of elapsed time, and probably 40-50 hours or so of actual construction time. The electrical takes the most time. It's all operated by three remote controls.

Most of the houses are Lemax, there are about 15 or so Dept. 56 Dickens Village, with a lot of "A Christmas Carol" pieces. Very little Disney in this village. I have another Dept. 56 Disney Village that I have not put up the past few years.

It is up until mid-January, and is a little quicker to take down.

I have some Department 56 Dickens Village pieces that my late father-in-law bought for me decades ago. They are in the basement because I just don’t have anywhere to display them.

We have the Dept 56 North Pole village. We set that up every few years. We have a table we put up in the dining room for it against one wall. It is alot of work, so that's why we do it every few years. But we bought 2 lego village sets this year and built those and displayed them in the dining room on a shelf in the hutch.

This is my hodgepodge village in the basement... Kohls stuff, with Walmart coming from Walmart obviously, and Home Depot coming from Home Depot. I had been waiting for the school to come in finally arrived today. If/when I see an Aldi store village "house" I will grab that. I have given up on it this year.

We have two collections Dept 56 and Children’s Dreams. Several years ago I found an antique glass store display cabinet. They DGKs love them so much I display the villages year round.

I have the entire Precious Moments Sugar Town Village that I used to put up every year - it’s beautiful. After we redecorated our family room, i no longer have a place to put it and now it sits in the attic. Someday, when my DD19 gets a house, she can have it if she has a nice place to display it.
