I insisted on taking a 4' pre-lit tree with white lights last year. I found the perfect tree at Michaels before we left at 1/2 price! It was only $20! It was dense and the perfect shape. I ordered a large set of glass multi-colored Mickey head ornaments from DisneySopping.com and bought additional Disney Hallmark ornaments to decorate it with (I didn't have enough already so had to get a few more before we left.) It was AWESOME. I took it in the original box as it had a handle. No one said a thing and most evenings the CM would plug it in so that it greeted us upon our return to the room. I brought the small balcony table inside to set it up on and draped an inexpensive white tree skirt around the base (ya know, the kind w/ the glitter that you get at WalMart or Target). One way to really dress up the tree is to add small Disney plush characters to it. Not too many. Maybe just 3-5 depending on their size. You take that tree, girlfriend. You won't be disappointed. It really adds to the vacation and it's a snap to set up.

Great Deal and low shipping. I thought I could over tinsel if it is too sparse when we set it up.

I never thought about the christmas tree until I read this thread. Thanks for the heads up. We'll be there from the 23rd to the 31st of Dec. Where can I get the disney decorations with the magnets that sounds so cute. I'll write a note for myself NOW to remember to bring the stockings too.

You can buy the magnets in any of the parks and some of them in the resorts. They are about 4 inches tall. I stuck with the basics - I got a few Mickeys, Minnies, Plutos, Goofys and Donalds. Plus, they're still practical for use as magnets afterward too. I've also seen Pooh characters and Figment as plush magnets.

We stayed at FW Cabins from 19th-26th December last year and I bought a pre-lit indoor tree from Walmart for $30. It was 6 feet and looked great. (They were reduced to $15 5 days before Xmas) Bought a couple of cheap packs of decorations aswell. Packed it all up on the day we left and left it all there with a note for the maid as we couldn't take back to England. Staying at Saratoga Springs same time this year and plan to do the same thing.

We've stayed at WDW during Christmas and brought a pre lit tree & decorations. I brought along a Mickey tree skirt and covered our large cooler with it and placed the tree on top. It was the perfect height for the window.
Every day the mousekeepers would turn on the tree and place the curtains around the back of the tree so when we returned to our room at night it was all aglow!! Just a wonderful sight to return to!!

Being such a planner, I went out the day after Christmas last year and bought a small pre-lit tree from the dollar general store with some small decorations. The kids think this trip is their Christmas present, so it will be sooo great to see them wake up on Christmas morning to see the tree nd decorated room. Good thing they are such sound sleepers. I have been on disneyshopping.com to get all sorts of great disney presents. I have all the presents bought and ready to go. The dollar tree always has great disney stuff to fill up the disney stockings i got at kmart after last holiday. This is going to be the best Christmas ever.

I bought an el-cheapo collapsible. light weight tree from Hobby Lobby a couple of years ago just for our resort rooms. We bought our ornaments in the park. You will see lots of trees through resort windows/doors.

by the looks of the bottom of our signatures a lot of us will be at disney for christmas. I'll look for a small tree and umm not tell hubby and pack it in the van when we leave lol.. i'll pick up extra stuff down there for decorations. I'm sure he'll be thrilled lol My little guy still believes in santa so I have to go shopping the 23/24 to pick up a couple of gifts from santa. The kids think that this is their christmas present. I have to run over to MGM I guess as my daughter saw a guitar purse on the disney dvd and she wants it now.
