Kathryn Merteuril...Beautiful colors you used. The large ornament that appears to be silver in color, placed up high in the front of the tree is outstanding. :thumbsup2

Here are a few pictures of my tree - it went up today. (I always have trouble capturing it correctly - never sure if I should use the flash or not ...). The lights are blue - not sure how well they translate in the photos ...

Funny how your flash magically turned the orange cat into a black cat. ;)

MackeysMom...JanaDee's right....the cat went from orange to black! :scared1: Love the tree! From a distance, the colors "appear" to be blue and silver. Closeups make them appear (to me) to be blue and gold. Is it some of both the silver and gold or only one of those colors?

That's hilarious! I guess the two of them take turns? We had a cat that insisted on trying to eat the needles on our ARTIFICIAL tree every year... and if he had any success at it we would always be "gifted" with those same needles on our floor several minutes later. :crazy2:

Sorry, not trying to turn this into a pet thread... I'm loving the pics everyone!

LOL - I'd like to say that they take turns, but Sunny Doodle usually kicks Blackie out of the way and bullies himself right in. ;)

Blue and silver only. The most difficult part was finding blue lights that came on white wire, since the tree did not come pre-lit.

Doodle is a chewer, too. Let's just say the litter boxes are very "festive". :rotfl2:

No tree yet, & mine are mostly done......(will post more next week)

now, the 1st one, there is a story about the angel on the newel post. "she" used to be a normal female angel, but my son-in-law bumped & it shattered on the floor, well for him it was a "oh p-o-o-p" moment, 'cause he didn't wanna think what mama-in-law was going to do. so he went off, pulled one of his sons gi-joes heads off, stuck it on, & waited to see how long it took for me to notice. I guess it was a couple weeks, before I did.:rotfl2: amusing moment.. & we just left 'him' there.

now THIS picture is a solution I finally came up with for that garland hanging in the doorways. I could never figure out how to secure the darn bottoms & did not want to put more holes in the walls. so I tied a basket to the bottom of it. ( don't know why I didn't think of that years ago)

now these are looking into the dining room attached to the Irish bar we built last year..

& I still haven't figure out what settings to use to get great pictures.. flash is so washed out & no flash gives everything a reddish glow.

We have two trees this year and loads more decorations than usual on the outside.

Muffyn...I'm nearly speechless. I love it all! :goodvibes Can't imagine the time involved in doing all this but it, no doubt, brings a great deal of joy to your friends and family.

Daannzzz...Fantastic job! Colors you've used in your home are some of my favorites. That red door...I want it!

Here are some shots of my tree.
I usually do a lot more decorating in and out of the house.
But, this year we are mostly just doing the tree.

I did a gold and silver type thing.
I love my topper with the beautiful gold angel and ribbon.
The next shot is a couple of nice ornaments. (Didn't use my Disney this year - GASP!!!!!)
And my little poseable elf that I have had since I was tiny. I had to make him new clothes!

thanks:goodvibes

I need to show my hubby your comment,, as all I got from his was major grumbling with EACH container brought down 2 flights of stairs :rotfl2:. his most uttered comment " no one needs this many decorations...... & we are NOT doing this next year." (of course the boxes go very slowly BACK upstairs over a couple weeks).

but then he does start commenting, gee the house looks nice. & I want to whack him.

My son took this pic of the tree I JUST put up while watching SNL's Christmas show on DVR! Perfect!

Pay no attention to those round little candies walking around. My sister bought them for the village and so they must make an appearance. ;)

And the little M&M men...:rotfl2::rotfl2:

:rotfl2: I know. They make me laugh every single time I see them. Only MY sister would think walking candies were a great addition to make a village seem authentic. :lmao: Oh how I love my sister. God only made one of that model. :thumbsup2

Thanks to both of you. It even has a population sign.

Hey Robin, I thought the tree was going in the kitchen. You don't have a flat screen by the stove, do you? ;)
