Christmas Tree?

I am! We put our tree up early last year, too, but that was because we didn't know how long my mom would have to enjoy the Christmas season. (She had brain surgery in December and was in the hospital for almost the whole month, so it turned out to be a good decision.)

I mostly want to start getting Christmas decorations up so I don't have to feel rushed.

Just Disney.

I'm sad that all my decorations are sitting in a storage unit, and I won't be able to decorate this year with my stuff.

I am thinking about it.....we will be at wdw this year and want to enjoy it....my dad also is not doing well and I am scared I dont have much time with him.:(

we have in the past , but the last year we didn't decorate at all as we went on vacation , and this will be another year we don't as we will be in the middle of a remodle.

As much as I would like to put it up early I won't. I don't want to rush the season too much. We are going to do 2 trees this year, one more formal and one more playful. The formal one, fake, will go in our dining room in the bay window and that will probably go up Thanksgiving weekend. We will get a real tree for family room but not until DS18 comes home from college so he can help pick it out and decorate.

Have to put window a/c away so will take stuff out but not up until black friday

My husband would probably lose his mind!!! He has definate limits when it comes to Christmas - Black Friday to New Years.
He won't complain about the overwhelming sights/sounds/smells of the season as long as I stay within those boundaries. :rotfl2:
What ya gonna do? Have Fun decorating early!!! I love to see the first signs of Christmas! (But please take the lights down by Valentines Day, even I have my limits. :rotfl:)

My neighbor put out all their christmas decorations already--my other neighbor was over last night talking about how nuts they are for having them out the first week of December LOL.
If I put my tree up now all the needles would fall off by Christmas and it would be a dry fire starter! I put it up about the second week in December. I will put the outdoor things up the first week of Dec. and even by then I am sick of the stuff by Christmas and if it wasn't for my daughter I would have it all down the day after Christmas!

I will probably get our outside Christmas lights up this weekend but won't turn them on until after Thanksgiving. It's supposed to be fairly warm here so I want to take advantage of that.

My husband promised the children that we would put up our (fake) tree this weekend. :headache::headache: I'm trying to put them off at least a week, but we will see. I figure that if they do it, then it's one less thing for me to do.:lmao:

The outside lights will definitely be going up this weekend. The outside lights HAVE to go up early, if they don't, there's a possibility that we will get a snow/ice storm and if that happens before they are up, it is impossible to do them.

It's too early for me- but you GO FOR IT!! :santa: I'm still trying to do the "deep clean" before the decorating...

I think about putting it up early every year. However, I put my tree in the front room right in front of a window that faces the street and I don't want people to think I'm bat poop crazy! LOL!!!!

We'll have a live, balled tree this year so it will be up only a few days. My husband had a guy dig part of the hole already though. He cut through the top layer and then covered it. Easier to plant in case the ground is frozen.

Put our trees up last night. Tonight we will be decorating, having hot chocolate ect. Baby #2 is due Dec 2nd so I want to make sure everything is done in case he makes an early appearance. That and I love Christmas and will use any excuse to decorate early.

Our tree would never, EVER go up this early.

We take the holidays in order. Thanksgiving first.....

I will start putting my decorations up the week of Nov. 15th. I get back from WDW on the 14th. I plan to get some Christmas tree ornaments while there.

I love my home when my Christmas decorations are up! :goodvibes

TC:cool1:

We moved last year on Dec 12, so I didn't put up all my decorations. :sad2: I always serve Thanksgiving on my Christmas plates, but don't decorate until just after Thanksgiving usually. This year, we'll be at Disney starting Dec 1, :santa: so I'll probably start decorating before Thanksgiving since I put so many decorations up, it takes a while! :rolleyes1 If putting your tree up this early flips your switch, I say go for it! :banana:party: (I've been listening to my Christmas music since the first part of October!) :dance3::music: Life is short, enjoy! :flower3:

I was thinking about it the other day but if I put my tree up now, by Christmas it will look like the Charlie Brown Christmas tree with all the needles all over the floor.

Obviously I get a real one so no it won't be going up until sometimes after Thanksgiving.

Nope, our tree/decorations don't go up until the day after Thanksgiving. We leave it up until New Year's Day, or a day or two after, so it's up long enough.
