Christmas Tree in room

I know that you can order artificial Cristmas trees, all decorated, from the Disney florist, to have in your room when you arrive-does anyone know the cost? I know they will pack it up and send it home for you afterwards, so I'm guessing its pricey. This will be our first Christmas at Disney and want to make it extra special.

I don't know the exact price but I recall it was in the $250+ range.

There are other ways to make the room Christmasy. Some folks bring their own tabletop tree. The Disney florist offers holiday arrangments. Usually one of them include some type of take home figurine/candle holder of the characters (Mickey & Minnie caroling, Mickey on a candlestick, etc.). The arrangements are more in the $50-$75 range. Putting a string of lights in your bag is easy, too. You can put them around your window or decorate your balcony (if you have one). You could hang stockings or wreaths. Maybe even buy some of these at Disney to take home to remind you every Christmas in the future of your magical trip.

Thanks for the reply Pam-I was thinking maybe $100 or so for a tree, but $250 is pretty steep. It will depend on my situation at the time, but thanks for the other suggestions. I think that lights, a wreath and xmas stockings for us, would work really well. We will be arriving on the 19th and have time to pick up special little stocking stuffers and I could of course have mty "Tigger" stocking.

Our family spent the week before Christmas at CBR this past year.You didn't say if you are driving or flying,we always drive.I went to the local Dollar General store before we left and bought 2 fiber optic trees for our ajoining rooms.They fold back up nicely in there boxes when you are ready to leave.Don't forget batteries!!You will love Disney during the Holidays!

We are flying and taking transfers to AKL -I prefer not to drive at all when I go to Disney. I have a cute little artificial tree , but with the limits on carry-ons now, I don't want to try it. It's not that I care about a tree, it's my son. The year we went to Disney between Christmas and New Years, we had our tree already up, with the Monorail around it and it was nice to come home to, but too much work and we always have a fresh tree, so someone had to water it while we were gone. I think stockings and lights are the most fun anyway and he'll be having so much fun, he won't be upset. Thanks for all the suggestions-I know it's early, but I llove all the planning and organizing-can't wait.

Colette, we spent this past Christmas at WDW. I had a suite at the AKL and it came with a Christmas tree already installed in it. Here’s a photo of it: My AKL Christmas Tree.

When we moved over to the BWV, my Mom (who was vacationing at WDW, too) had brought a small Christmas tree along with herself to WDW. She set it up in my room for my young daughter. Here’s a photo of it: My BWV Christmas Tree.

As you can see, anything is possible. You can have the WDW folks set you up with something nice & pretty (and probably expensive) or you can bring your own nice & pretty tree (and probably more reasonable in cost). No matter what route you take, WDW is magical during the holidays. Try not to fret too much.

I remember seein a picture of your room with that tree on a trip report or something. It's so funny, because that is what made me think about having one put in my room. I guess for the price of a suite, they would do that, which is so nice, but we have a Savannah view room and I have a little tree, just like your Mom's, but decided it would be too much to try and bring on the plane. I try to travel as light as possibe, knowing that I'll be coming back with much more than I came down with. I am just so happy to finally have talked my son into DisneyWorld for Christmas-it's what I've always wanted and to me the tree doesn't matter-there will be so many trees everywhere, that it will be magical. I'm so looking forward to staying at the AKL-it wasn't finished last time we were there-that alone is our treat! Thanks for all the great suggestions.
