Anyone know how I would go about getting a small christmas tree to have in my room at the DL resort in December?

Thank you for taking the time to find out this information! It is really useful and I appreciate itDisneyFamilyMom said:I just talked to VP tonight and they said that it has not been finalized, but they believe that this year's tree will have a gingerbread house theme with at least 2 plush and lots of red & white gingham. She said it was really cute. They have not finalized the Christmas amenities (trees and stockings) due to an ordering issue, and they hope to have it finalized in one week. She also said that they expect the tree to cost between $180-$200.

I noticed Target has little fake trees in their dollar area for 2.50. in metallic colors ( blue, pink purple) and fake green. They also have tiny lights and ornaments. It is pretty small ( 18 to 24 inches) and folds up, so you can pack it with your luggage and set it up when you get there. You can do the tree and light it and decorate it for aabout 10 bucks.
I think we will do this for the kids. Then we can buy ornaments and decorate it. Then we will do the big tree at home for the 4 days before xmas.
Have a wonderful trip!
We will be at poly dec 9 - 14 and AKL 14th - 19.
Can't wait!

I bought a real tree last year from Home Depot. I forgot how tall it was but it only cost around $35. GailT said:I think a little fake tree is the way to go then I am buying the Christmas tree air freshener from Yankee Candle and it will smell like Christmas in DL![]()
If I pay that much, I would surly want to keep it and then have to ship it home(more money). I am on the list for vacation planning to be called when they are availible.
What do
think
.
I think I could use that money for other treats while we're there.DisneyFamilyMom said:Well, we got one last year and were UNDERwhelmed. It is a basic artificial tree, with plain glass balls (gold, blue and maroon last year), 4 small disney plush (beanie siezed), some chocolate covered oreos , and a 50th anniversary frame (under the tree). There were no lights and no disney ornaments (just plain ones like you can buy at Target, Walmart, etc.). I was definitely expecting more, like some Disney ornaments that said Disneyland and had the year. I was glad we did it once, as it was magical, but I would never do it again. Like you said, you could do a lot more with the money that is just as fun.
