Do you have themes or colour combinations for your tree?

For years I decorated mine in silver and white and then last year I added some blue. This year eldest DD wants red and gold so I might try that.

Ours is a green christmas tree decorated with red and gold bows. Recently we have added gold decorations to it as well.

We have a variety of colour themes, ranging from pure gold to red and gold to purple and silver to red and green. My particular favourite is purple and silver - it might not be very Christmassy but it looks lovely. Trouble is, it doesn't co-ordinate too well with the rest of the decorations.

I don't really have a theme or colour, but my Christmas tree doesn't have any baubles, just Disney characters, teeny Ty Bears and characters from other films like Wallace & Gromitt and Harry Potter

I don't have a theme just lots of assorted ornaments bought by ourselves, made by the kids or bought by family. I love it because it is like going down memory lane each year.

ours is every colour known to man and every type of dec, we dont have a theme, we have what we have made at school in years past on there too

We have a traditional tree with white and pale, pale mauve decorations. I used to have burgundy and gold but felt it was a bit overpowering for our sitting room which is all cream - carpet, walls, sofas and chair.

Another red and gold tree here :)

We won't see much of it this year, it will only have been up just over a week before we jet of to Florida :)

We do plan to have a little tree in our room though, and instead of baubles we plan to fill it with tree chocolates and candy, then we don't have to bring any baubles home :)

Nat - have you visited Woodlands Nursery yet?

Thay have a great Christmas decorations display every year, a bit pricey but nice to look at :)

I try to theme mine but DD & DS jump in and it ends up all the colours of the rainbow. I like to include some candy canes and a few choccie ones as well. Although they never seem to last long. DS gets up early and has them for breakfast. When he was little he used to think if he left the empty foil still on the tree that we wouldn't notice he'd eaten them :rotfl:

hi

another red and gold tree :) altough it seems to be changing over the last couple of years to accomodate my disney ornaments :teeth:

We have a 7ft green tree and its always decorated in red and gold. Its takes me forever to get the lights spread out even. DD has a small tree in her room which she decorates with her own decorations :)

All the trees sound lovely, maybe when we all put our trees up we should take a photo and start a thread to show everyone

I have silver and purple decs on my tree, all this talk of Christmas trees makes me want to get ours down from the loft now!!

The main christmas tree has no colour theme as such but since last year we are getting more and more Mickey ears baubaules to go on it :goodvibes The little tree which sits in our bedroom window since last year has been themed with gold and peach colours to match our bedroom since DH redecorated in November last year, before that it was all sorts :)

Claire ;)

Blue and silver here!

Though the Disney theme has grown every year so it's now probably more Disney than any one prevailing colour!
