Christmas tree/decorations thread.. Thanksgiving too if you would like..

laurie31...Those trees are beautiful!! But I think I'm in trouble now. :rotfl:Last year I had 14 trees fully decorated. This year I had decided to keep things simple and only put a couple of the trees up.............Now I'm not so sure....... :rotfl2:

14?! Are they all regular big trees? Do you have a very big house? We need details! And pictures. Are they all real? If so, your house must smell so great for the holidays!

Laurie those trees are so beautiful and such a great idea for a CMN fundraiser.

We haven't put up a tree in many years, I guess since probably 2001. I have just not been in a great place to want to decorate. I was thinking about it this year, since we have a beautiful new tree with lights, but since DH lost his job last month, I don't think I will.

I think I will just enjoy all the pictures here.

The largest is 9ft. With most of them being 6 - 7ft. With a few 2,3 and 4 ft. trees. They are all artificial. The scent comes from yankee candles. :rotfl:

Laurie those are absolutely beautiful!! Thank you for sharing!

Princess Suzanne - so sorry to hear about your DH losing his job. Maybe your new tree will help bring cheer to you, I say go ahead and set it up :thumbsup2Best of luck to you and your DH.

:( Are you sure it wouldn't cheer you up a bit to at least have your nice new tree up? It sounds like you've been through some tough times - and now your DH has lost his job :( - but you still have each other, right?

I hope things start looking up for you real soon - and that your DH is able to find another job quickly..

laurie - Thanks for getting this thread rolling.. All of the trees are gorgeous!!! :santa:

This one is made by a group of ladies who smock the clothes for NICU babies. The tree will go on display there, and the outfits will be given to the babies to wear home after Chrismas. :goodvibes

:lovestruc So sweet :)

No, putting up the tree would add to the sad feelings I already have. That is why I haven't put one up all these years.

We were supposed to go to WDW for Christmas, but since he lost his job, that won't happen. This has turned my world upside down, just because someone wanted to be mean (DH's former boss).

I'm sorry..:(

I hope that somehow - sometime soon - things will start looking up for you..

Thanks for this pic ~ we were trying to think of something fun for DD's tree and she doesn't want any garland. She loves the bright-colored curly-Qs made out of pipe cleaners!

Will try to take some pics of Thanksgiving decorations this weekend, but in the meantime, here's a pic of last year's Christmas tree:
