Christmas Traditions at WDW

I cannot believe there are so many fellow DISsers so close to me!!! I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited about this Christmas trip. We are going Dec 1-10, we are flying. All my trips growing up we drove. We can olny afford to fly because it is only me and DH, we don't have kids yet.

Awwww... we will miss you! Our stay is from 12/23-1/1. Save some pixie dust down there for us!

We just returned 8/12 from a 6 day adult only stay for our 20th wedding anniversary. It was wonderful. You will have the BEST time going together for Christmas! Have a MAGICAL trip!

I have 2 rooms I'll need to bring decorations for. All my kids are young adults - the oldest being 25. I want their room to be fun too. I wonder if I can check into their room for them and have it all decorated and done before they even get there?? My DH and I will be getting there 2 days before they do and we're all staying at BCV's. I have a 1 bedroom and a studio reserved. Girl's in one room and DS, DH and I in the other! I wonder if I should be doing stockings with some essential WDW stuff in them??? Any suggestions?

We also have two young adults (17yo's) joining us later in our vacation! I plan to have a Christmas-y Disney gift bag for each of them when they get there. I have lite sticks (good for kids of ALL ages!), I plan to have purchased their refillable mugs, I have some Disney tattoos, and will get them each a disposable camera. Would love some more suggestions!

Squeaky - the pics are awesome! We are staying at the GF from 12/19 - 12/27 for our first WDW Christmas. I am so excited!! I appreciate your post with your recommendations and your what you would do different info.

We LOVE it at Christmas. This year we will be leaving on Christmas Eve day. We stay in a cabin and put up lights outside and in the windows. We also have a small tree for the table. Last year, eventhough I said NO PRESENTS!, we all did presents anyway. TOO many!! But it was fun.

Of course we always do CP. Last year we did it on Christmas Eve. That was great. This year we will do it on our first full day to kick off our trip.

I love to walk around Fort Wilderness to check out the campers decorations. Some of them go all out. And we like to visit the resorts to see their deocrations too.

Now you're getting me all excited too! 118 days!!!

if you love disney and if you enjoy christmas with you were a kid you will never want to have a disney trip during christmas to ever end. we went last year and when you see the osboure lights in person with the snow and old time christmas music and a warm cup of cider and then you will know what christmas must does area. i think it dont get any better then that. IMOA

We went early December last year. My husband and I are both from Florida so we have never seen snow so we just had to go to Mickeys very merry christmas party. The next night we went to MGM. They also have "snow" and hot chocolate and the Osborn lights are so beautiful! We had more Christmas spirit after MGM than MK and it didn't cost extra! Have a great trip and be sure to smell the gingerbread house in GF for me.
