We changed our 2010 Spring Break ressie at SSR to Chirstimas at SSR just this past week. We are super excited but have never spent Christmas away from home. We have a 9 and 6 year old. I was wondering how you make your Christmas time stays special and incorporate some of your Christmas family traditions into your stay. Does Santa come there? Do you go out for a special Christmas day lunch/dinner or do something special for Christmas eve? Thanks for sharing your experiences!:santa:

we visited last year the 1st week of December, but still brought a very small tree and stockings to have surprises for the kids (12 and 5). But this year is our 1st year as DVC members and we are spending the actual week of Christmas at SSR and AKV. I have a 3ft Christmas tree and will have "Santa" come there for the kids...we are having Christmas eve dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table and Christmas day at Coral Reef followed by Epcot's candlelight processional....We are going to still incoroprate some of OUR family traditions and hope to create some very special new memories this year! Also all the holiday festivities that are usually for MVMCP take place regularly at no additional cost during the week of Christmas!

enjoy your Holidays!

We have been there for xmas week for the last 4 years. Santa has been to OKW for xmas eve each time. when we have been there for xmas eve/day, we went to CP on xmas eve one year and it was wonderful for adults, but not so much for the young ones; make sure to visit all the holiday "Santas" in Epcot..its so much fun for all; we have not gone to a park on xmas day (too crazy for us) but we have gone to late breakfast at 1900PF and a visit to the gingerbread house(after opening gifts-we bring small decorated table top tree with us from home)and then we go to DTD or a movie and then have had wonderful meal at Artist Point in WL(the fireplace and rockers along with their tree makes it worth it)one year and the last time we had very late meal at CG(9pm) and got to see holiday wishes from there and had a great meal(we al dressed with holiday sweaters, etc). Last year we went to ICE at Gaylord Palms and it was amazing..kids and adults loved it especially the ice slides at the end. we'll be there for NYE this year.
