Hello to all...new here. been reading and lurking a while. major disney fanatic...hubby doesn't REALLY get it...but has accepted it.

i thought this might be the place to post this question...so here goes! i have been to the World the last 2 octobers. both for several days...and both went to MNSSHP. loved it! we are going back again but are thinking about delaying until the week after thanksgiving. just to do something different. i read the crowds are about the same...and mickey's christmas party is supposed to be great! i would love to see the decor also.

my kids are 8 and 11...so no little ones. i am just not a big fan of change. once i find somthing i like and know that it works, i tend to stick with it. we loved october...minimal crowds...nice weather...2 wonderful trips...i hate to mess with success.

any advice? :cheer2:

I personally love going to MNSSHP each year, dressing up in our costumes and trick-or-treating. No, Haven't been to MVMCP, and don't have a desire to drink free hot chocolate and eat free cookies while I listen to Christmas music and ride the rides and look at bubble snow on Main Street and watch a Christmas parade. However, I love to go at Christmas time to see the decorations though, they are a site to behold, and my personal favorite is the Christmas Story done nightly at EPCOT Center in the America Pavilions outdoor theatre. We are lucky enought to live close and drive a couple of hours to get to WDW 5-6 times per year, so I do try to make it up for the Christmas stuff in early December. It is definitly worth seeing at least once. Still don't know if I'd do the MVMCP or not. Guess it'd depend on how busy it was while I was there and what the weather was like. Early Dec can sometimes be great ride wise, or not. Sometimes they just close down the second line for the race cars, so though it's not that busy, the wait is still a bit longer then you'd expect.

We went the first week in Dec last year and did MVMCP and it was great! We hardly waited for anything! This year we'll be going to MNSSHP and I'm probably feeling the same way that you are - I knew what to expect for Dec and would have liked to do it again, but free dining was too hard to pass up...
So now I'm all worried about the heat and crowds, blah, blah, blah.... I'm sure we'll both have a wonderful time! :thumbsup2

Well, this is our first trip to the World, so I may not know as much as some.
We are thinking about getting tix for MVMCP for a while now. But, at the time we are going, there are very minimal crowds, and it is for a vey good price: it's on the cool side! (For Florida, anyway, it SNOWS big time out here in CO!)
Personally, I think be a swell time!!
