I realize this is a long time off but we all know how fast rooms can book up! We want to stay in the main building and I see the price for a standard room jumps significantly on 12/15. My question is: would there be a noticeable difference in decorations, food, ambiance, etc if we were to stay 12/10-12/15 vs 12/15-12/19? Or would either timeframe be the same? I should mention we would be using the military discount which ends on 12/19 so I can't go beyond that date. Thanks in advance for any guidance!

We usually stay at YC CL & have traveled those dates several times. The holiday decorations stay
the same the whole season. Food offerings on club level should be pretty much the same too. Things might change a little the week between Christmas & New Years because of the increased crowds. But either if your dates should be the same decorations & food wise.

We stayed Dec 2015 at GF, and I think we checked in on 12/02, and it was fully decorated... it was amazing! So those earlier dates should be good. We had Neil Patrick Harris for the narrator at the candlelight processional, and we went to MVMCP. So all the Christmas festivities should be in full swing. Have fun! That was our dream resort, and a splurge for us to do, but I'm so glad we did.

Thank you both for your help! I'll go with the earlier dates and save about $1K! More money to spend on gifts and souvenirs, right?!

Everything Christmas will be in full effect from Thanksgiving weekend onwards. So you will see all there is to see! The only timeframe that has less decorations available is November leading up to Thanksgiving. Enjoy!

My favorite Hliday checkin timeframe is about December 10. By then I am feeling Christmassy, and the resorts are all dressed up for the Holiday.

There will be full decorations, as they are usually completed by Thanksgiving. By going earlier, you will enjoy lower crowds. The closer you get to Christmas, the busier the parks get. I think the week you are planning is a great week to go...and GF is SO beautiful at Christmas! Enjoy.
