I know December is far off but my family is going around Christmas for the first time. We have been 4 times in the past 5 years, last year being the unmagical year. So it will be a full 2 years when we go, sad I know but really excited for this trip. I was on the Disney site and saw Santa's Reindeer Round-up can anyone tell me about this? Also is there anything happening at this time we should not miss? The dates are December 6-19th we have 2 weeks. I know its a lot and can't wait to have a Disney headache. :lovestruc

Christmas time is my favorite time of year to visit DLR. I'm sure you'll have a great time, and with so much time there, you should be able to enjoy everything at a leisurely pace!
Reindeer Round-up is located over in the Big Thunder Ranch, behind BTMRR. Mrs. Claus is usually there for pics, they have free coloring pages set up, I believe a Woody show throughout the day, and cookie decorating for a fee. We hung out there for a bit last year, and it was a great reprieve from running around with the masses!
Also, don't miss the special holiday fireworks, complete with snow, and the holiday parade.
Everything is just decorated beautifully in the parks, so just let it all wash over you! Dickens singers, etc are just neat to enjoy. Also, DCA has Santa's Beach Party, which is really cute and has a lot of interesting photo ops.

Oh Yes Christmas time at DL is wonderful. We had cold but sunny weather. Be sure to bring warm coats for night time. They serve Hot cocoa around the parade route in the evening. It gets crowded for the evening parade. I think I would do the special pacage they offer that gives you seats for the parade. I know it is a lot of money but feel during the holidays it would be worth it as the crowds are unreal. Have fun

We'll be there at the same time. It'll be our first holiday trip too. I wish I were there as long as you though. ;) Are you going to be in the parks that whole time?

What is Santa's Beach party? Is it like Mickey's Halloween Treat or is it something else?

I believe they call it Beach Party Blast, and it is just a bunch of games and dancing, etc, but very cute. Photo ops with Santa in his beachwear, and hug sandmen, instead of snowmen. It is right at the entrance of DCA, you can't miss it.

And I believe the special seating for the parade comes with the holiday tour that is offered during that time. You have to sign up for that in advance.

We will visit the parks the entire time with pool and nap breaks. Decided to get AP and then go again a few more times before expiration date. It will also be DD#5s 1st b-day 12-12.
