So we might be taking a 4 day trip in Dec and wondering if you think a 3 year old would like the resort hoping part?

My husband and I went in Dec 15 and did resort hoping. Which if we did hit a resort it would be grand Floridian but wondering if its really worth it for any of the others with a 3 year old and a 1 year old.

Maybe? My DS9 loves resort hopping. We did a monorail hop in December 2016 and he still talks about it to this day. For a 3-year old, the ride on the monorail might be the fun part, but certainly a big Christmas tree and getting a goody at the GF gingerbread house could be fun. The display at CR is lovely as well.

Depends on the kid but judging from ours, any resort hopping to see holiday decorations at that age would really be more for the parent's enjoyment than the kids. Definitely some good photo ops, particularly the WL tree. But both kids and adults can have fun, there's just not a ton to do for the little ones so it'll likely just be a quick see/walk/look around/get a treat type of experience.

I'd say grab the stroller and hop away! :-)

Which is why I would be willing to give it up cause it would be for me even though I Just did it back in 2015. It was more wondering if others did it with kids this young.

I tend to think at 1 and 3, a lot of what one does at WDW is sort of for the parents anyway. :-) My kids enjoyed just being out/about/along for the ride at that age.

Really depends on your child and the time of day -- if they still nap or get cranky easily then maybe just one resort. I think with all the decorations and ginger bread houses it might be interesting for him. Try to plan it so that you can work in a meal or snack while you are at the resort -- maybe letting him run around on the beach at the poly after getting your dole whips. you just really have to go at his pace. The fun of riding the monorail might keep him interested.

GF and WL might be really fun at christmas, other wise, I am not sure a little kid will love resort hopping?

I know when I was little I would be bored just hanging out at the resort, as an adult I love it. The monorail is a lot of fun to ride so he might be entertained enough by that to go to a few resorts.

Nothing wrong with picking something you will enjoy on the vacation! Personally, I would do it.

I agree. OP, you might be surprised, they might like it! When my DS was 2 his favorite thing to do in WDW was to simply walk along paths and look at plants, look for insects, etc.
