We're off to WDW in 9 days time staying at CBR for two weeks between 19th Nov and 3rd Dec.

I'm busy finalising all our plans for the trip, and what I wanted to know apart from things like Osbourne lights and Candlelight Processional etc, are there any little more unusual things that should be checked out? I've read bits about gingerbread decorations at Grand Floridian, and Beach Club hotels, and I wondered what other little stuff there might be hidden around the world that might not necessarily be widely known about?

Any help would be appreciated! :thumbsup2

Welcome to the DIS boards. What a great time to be traveling to the world.

One of the things that people really enjoy is the Storytellers in the different countries in the World Showcase. You might be able to do a search and see if you can find a schedule of what time they appear in the different countries.

I personally love the Jingle Jammin Christmas parade at AK. It starts at 3:45 or 4pm. Its a great, festive parade.

Touring the resort decorations at Christmas is really fun. The BC, BW, and GF all have great decorations. Well worth visiting. All the resorts have beautiful trees. Last year I stumbled upon a high school choir doing an inpromptu concert at the Contemporary. That was neat. Oh - and the WL lodge looks spectacular at Christmas time. Maybe you can plan a meal there. There was a photopass guy taking pictures at night.

Close by in Celebration they decorate for Christmas and have a nightly party in the middle of the town.

Have fun.

Welcome to the DIS!

We went last year at Christmas and had the most amazing time, you will love it so much!

Make sure you're in MK one night when they turn on the lights on Cinderella Castle. Its around 6.30 every day and Mickey and friends comes out and they turn on the lights, really cute!

Have a wander through the parks and look at the different decorations too. Disney go all out there and the parks look amazing.

What we did (bear in mind im 19, my brother 17 and sister 15) we went round World Showcase to the different pavillions and got the Duffy Bear for the KidCot fun stops. What we did was we got each representative to write Happy Christmas in their language! It looks really cool and I have it pinned up in my room now. That was really nice to do.

Definitely look at the resorts, there are some amazing decorations. As I said, Disney do it so well.

Ill have a think and let you know if theres anything else!! :)

we did a sleigh ride last xmas it was great, they took us around the campsite to look at all the xmas lights
