I spoke with the team and Hearthstone a couple weeks back and they are not bringing the tea back this year.

Really? The Disney Parks Blog had announced it would happen this year, and it's something I've been very excited about as we will stay at GCH and we never had the chance to do the tea at Steakhouse 55.

I'm trying to find the original post- wasn't it in the post here? Did they REMOVE IT?!!!!!

The Holiday Tea with Santa and Mrs. Claus was in fact included in the original Disney Parks Blog announcement. I had missed it at first, and multiple others on the Disboards pointed it out to me (see bakofarmgirl post and ClaraOswald, who pasted the actual text in her post). This was all described in another thread which I will link to:

It would appear that Disney announced it, quietly cancelled it and removed reference, and didn't mention anything about it.

I don't know that it has been cancelled or if details just haven't been released yet.

@thegootzie said they talked to "the team" at Hearthstone. I'm not sure who they spoke to, but in my experience, CM aren't always the most informed. Even calling and speaking to Disneyland CS can lead to different answers depending on who you talk to. When a CM starts a response with "I think" or "usually," they are just speculating.

I just checked the wayback machine and the original Disney Blog post was on July 24th and it did reference Tea with Santa and it was removed on August 13th, so it definitely looks like an intentional change.

The original text was:

When a pp commented that the Holiday Tea was not going to happen, I went online to the Disneyland website and messaged with a CM about it. They were gone for some time before coming back to let me know that no, it's not going to happen. But I keep hoping it's going to pop back up, though this late in the game, I'd say that's wishful thinking.

Any guesses on when the candy cane schedule and foodie guide will be out?

Btw, I just called the in-room celebrations to inquire about Christmas/holiday themed options for our December stay at GCH. This really nice CM told me that he just saw concepts of baskets, as they're being redone or so this year. He added me to an interest list.

I know the in-room celebrations (ie. baskets/door banner/balloons/treats) are expensive but I want to go all out and surprise my husband for this trip!

Hi all, I am hoping that the Christmas/holiday foodie guides drop after Halloween.

Likewise, I'm keeping an eye out on when we can make reservations for the Hearthstone tea w/Santa. Last year folks could make reservations ON Halloween. We are nearly 2 weeks out from then- what gives?

Someone posted up thread that Hearthstone Lounge said they aren't doing it this year. FWIW. Last year, the first day it was served was 12/3.
