Planning my sons wish trip and we arrive on Dec 7th. We were planning on doing Seaworld the next day, Monday...But I am seeing that seaworld seems to have more Christmas stuff on the weekends and are open till 9pm. Our plane does not land till 10:30 so by the time we get luggage and rental car and get to give Kids the World it will probably be around 2ish by the time we get to seaworld. Is it worth not getting the full day to get the nighttime stuff? I guess technically its open 3 hours later on sunday so we would be getting those extra hours so umber of hours would be almost the same.

What can we do sunday that we cant do monday?

To put it simply - probably a lot of the special shows.

It doesn't look like the show schedule is out yet, but Christmas is advertised as select dates during November and December.

If you look at one of the feast bundles that includes reserved seating for the Christmas shows, they are only offered during the entire week of Thanksgiving, and then only Friday, Saturday, and Sunday up until the week of Christmas itself, when it goes to every day again. This is probably a good indication there will not be any of the special Christmas shows on that Monday.

So that means you would be able to do Shamu Christmas Miracles show, O Wondrous Night show, and Winter Wonderland on Ice show. I believe the Sea of Trees will probably still happen, and of course all the decorations will still be up.

To me those extra shows would be worth going on Sunday instead of Monday, but it depends if you have been to SeaWorld before. If you have not it might be a good idea to do Monday so you can see more stuff. If you have been before, especially several times, then Sunday might be best.

And I just realized - there is a calendar of when Christmas will be held, although it does not have actual show times, only specific days. There is a calendar under the Christmas section of the website.

I would reccomend going on Sunday night. If you get there by 2, then you will still be able to see the Dolphin show "Blue Horizons" which is a very popular show. There is no Christmas themed Dolphin show.

You will probably still get to see the last showing of the Shamu day show, and there is always the Shamu Christmas show.

The Christmas Ice Skating show and O Wondrous Night show are very good Christmas shows as well.

Plus you will have the fireworks finale that you won't have on Monday.

You will still get a few hours to ride the rides and see some exhibits so I think you will get more for your money on Sunday night with the regular shows plus Christmas extras as opposed to going on Monday when you only get the regular shows.

Thanks

I went to seaword once when I was a kid but my son has never gone. Although we will probably never go again during Christmas. And seeing that it is a wish trip I think generally we will get front of the line so we should be able to do things quicker. I think we will try for sunday but if it takes to long to checkin and such then we will skip and go monday.
