I feel like I usually have a decent grasp on eating in WDW, but this trip will be different. We will be there during the holidays (first full week in dec).

So I am wondering, is there anything that you like to book more during Christmas? Any secrets or must dos that relate to navigating eating during the holidays?

We will be there five night and will be doing MVMCP one night and Osbourne's another. No Candlelight Processional.

Cast of characters, include a 5 year old princess and a scooter bound MIL. I would appreciate any hints to making our life easier and most importantly YUMMIER :)

Many people combine visiting the resorts to see the holiday decorations with eating at the resort. Some of the deluxe resorts have decorations and gingerbread houses (Grand Floridian, Contemporary, Beach Club and Boardwalk), and others have elaborately themed trees in the lobby(Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge). There were lots of hidden Mickeys in the gingerbread houses at the BC and BW.

Also there's a large gingerbread house in the Liberty Inn restaurant in World Showcase.

We have been xmas week for the past 6 years and are returning this year. I have not had any trouble getting adrs at 180 days even for Le Cellier, CG, and others, but I also like to eat at very late hours after 8:15 or so(no young ones our DH is 20 and not a fan anymore..we go solo). If you will be there for xmas eve, xmas day, or NYE, make your adr where you want to be that day and do not assume you can park hop. MK has closed to all guests including resort on xmas day and NYE by 10am the last 6 years we have been there. So plan adrs where you know you can get to them. Love having holiday brunch on xmas day at 1900PF to view the resort and the gingerbread house..we usually make them for 10:30-10:45am as we never do a park on the holiday. We have had wonderful xmas night meals at CG(late adr and got to see wishes from the restaruant), Artist Point(the tree and decorations at WL are also wonderful..fireplace makes the holiday). We usually hit DTD or a movie and have a nice dinner at one of the resorts. It may be more difficult for you to get dinner adrs for the 5-7pm time if you little one needs to eat then. Just remember that those who have an arrival date before you and are resort guests have the 180 +10 advantage and you may not find the times you want. Its a great time to be there...we enjoy it every year and do not try to do everything..the holiday atmosphere and special stuff keeps us busy and tour as we can with FP and EMH..if we don't get to an attraction, we know we will return. Relax and enjoy.

Connears, great informative post. We were there last year 12/27-1/2 a family of 11, booked as soon as possible and got all the ADR's we wanted. We opted to dine in our villa on 12/31 to avoid the masses since we had an 11 month old with us.
