christmas sales

does anyone know when the sales start?Is it before the 25th or do they start at new year.we are particularly interested in macys ,abercrombie and fitch etc.also i plan to take out a couple of dvds as christmas presents for my daughter.would she be able to use them on the dvd player in the condo or do they have to be purchased in the usa.

Im not too sure about the sales! Im sure that someone will correct me if im wrong but they tend not to do the "Jan" sales like we do here in the UK I think they have there major sales near Labour day but I could be wrong! As for the DVDs they will not work unless the villa has a dvd player that accepts dvds that are a different region to theres-very unlikely!

When I was there in for christmas 2002 and 2004 the sales started 26th december but there were sales before christmas too that were great too not sure what abercrombie and fitch do in there sales as they didn't have a sale on black friday this year which is a big sale day over there but we have got great bargains in macys after christmas in the sales have fun Id say you would have to use USA dvd,s unless the dvd player is multi region....

There is always one "sale" after another in the United States. But what you're referring to....the After Christmas sales, begin December 26th. The malls will be absolutely crazy that day so start early. There are a lot of good deals but winter clothing in particular will have prices slashed. Be sure to get the December 25th Orlando Sentinel because many stores run advertisements with additional discount coupons, particularly Macy's.

Your CD's will work in the U.S. but DVD's will not.

We did the Florida mall on the 26th Dec, make sure you get there early but there are some good deals.

the big sale starts boxing day but prior to christmas day there will be all sorts of bargains to be had in the Malls, dont forget to get your 11% discount card in Macys, available for all international visitors, get it from customer services, you just need some ID.

As already stated, the big sales will start on the 26th. Be sure and grab a newspaper beginning on 23 Dec & for the next three days. The big stores will run coupons. This past weekend, there was a twenty percent off coupon for Macys, so it's definitely worth a look. Be prepared, it will be a madhouse and parking will be insane at the malls.

as someone noted, there are always sales in the US..

we were just there in november and managed to get tons of stuff for 50% to 80% off...
my daughter had the time of her life..
she got gorgeous knit tops for as little as $3 !!!!
that's pretty much free...

we filled up four huge duffle bags full of sale items..

so it's not just the day after christmas or the day after thanksgiving (black friday)...

The sales are in full swing, with ALL shops having big discounts (came past MAM today and the car park was full.)

At Macy's its great, 50% off goods THEN they take the overseas visitors discount of 11% off after that!
