Does anyone decorate their room with Christmas decorations. If so, what kinds? May 17 - 27 trip planned!

I want to put my daughters present under a smake fake tree or a flowers like a tree. Any suggestion that won't make a mess of the room and cause an undue burden to mousekeeping (i.e, real Xmas tree will falling pine needles) would be great.

Thanks in advance!

We have hung lights around the rooms, streamers for b-days, garland on patios, signs on the doors, bells on the door knobs, christmas bows on the doors. halloween stickies to the patio doors, and signs on the door. You name it, we have done it. and at different resorts. Its fun and exciting to see your family excited. Last year our room at the poly had a monorail view in aorteroa building and when on the monorail people would point at the decorations and make comments, we got a big kick out of it. I usually don't bring our decorations, cause we fly. The 50# weight limit. so we do a walmart run, or target. Try to go with the "theme" of the resort. Cr we had a more contempary small table top tree, silver bulbs and white lights. poly a small pine tree potted and decorated (we left it for mousekeeping). Usually you can find something for a reasonable some, actually more reasonable than up here. It only takes a few minutes to set stuff up and so worth it.

Have fun, Mky princess:

When we go at Christmas, we hang lights where they can be seen from the outside. There is something special about being able to say, "Look, that is our room ,I can see the Christmas lights."

We stayed at the YC this past December and I purchased a 3 foot, pre-lit tree from Walmart for $20. I shipped it down to the resort via UPS a few days before we arrived. We stayed in concierge, so they set it up for us. Otherwise, you should mark your box with your name and reservation number. When you arrive, the front desk CM should be able to get it for you. The Disney Florist also offers a very special Mickey Christmas tree that can be delivered to your room. It's pretty pricey though.

Last year, I also did a "pay it forward" with our Christmas tree and another DIS'er. We were there in early December, so when we checked out, I simply boxed up the tree and left it at the front desk for her to pick up.

We put Winter Penguin window cling decorations on our window at POP when we went in December of 2003. We left a few days before Christmas, but we wanted to add to the festive atmosphere. Maggie
