Christmas Resort Tour

Hubby & I are flying in on Dec 10 & we plan on just checking out the Christmas decorations at some of the resorts on that day before a nice dinner & early to bed. (we fly out from home at 5am so we will be dragging by 6pm Orlando time)

Which resorts are not to be missed & how long would you allow at each?

Grand Floridian needs to be at the top of the list. The Gingerbread house in the lobby is not to be missed! You could just do the Magic Kingdom reports if you're pressed for time and just travel to them via monorail.

I love checking out the various resorts at Christmas time!!! I like to head to the MK, then take the monorail over to the CR, and then the boat to WL. Boat back to the CR, monorail over to the GF..it's beautiful and not to be missed. The Polynesian really hasn't done anything terrific in years, so I tend to bypass that one.
Then, take the bus to the Boardwalk and check out those resorts. You can just walk around the lake and check out BW, the S/D, then YC/BC. Hop on a bus to AK and transfer to the AKL bus.

I guess how you do it really depends on what resort you're staying at! The moderates and values are fun to see if you have the time.

Do they still sell gingerbread cookies out of the gingerbread house? I loved that as a kid.

The three monorail loop resorts, the Boardwalk area resorts, and both WL and AKL would be part of a Christmas resort tour for me.

We are going during the Christmas season this year, and we are trying to get to AKL, GF, WL, and Poly (though really we are mostly going for an Ohana ADR). We may try to stop at CR on our way through - we will see how much time we have.
