Planning on visiting DL Nov 19 & 20. Do you think the decoration will be up by then, I really want to see the castle with the lights on it. I appreciate anything you may know.

Well, if things go according to the sort of schedule they have followed the last couple of years, what will happen is that all throughout November, the decorations will slowly go up all over DLR - they may even do a soft opening of IASW Holiday a couple of days early - and then on November 20th, the "official" DLR holiday season will begin, and that is when the light 'show' from the Winter Castle (draped in 'icicles' and glowing incandescently throughout the park), up Main Street to the giant Christmas tree will happen and IASW Holiday will officially open, and the 'snow' will fall on Main Street. Also, Santa starts to show up around DLR on that day, as do the carolers. So yes, you are getting there just in time to see the light show and the Winter Castle in all its glory!! It is such a great time to be at DL - you will love it!

Ditto what Sherry said. Officially should start on Nov. 20th but the decorations will start going up before that with the biggies (Main St. tree) etc. usually going up just before the start. Have a wonderful time, Christmas is wonderful at DLR.

The decorations were up early November last year when I went down.

I actually think the New Orleans Square decorations go up first - like in the first few days of November. I remember last year, someone from Dis was there when the Halloween stuff was on its way out but the stuff in NOS was up!

DisneyFairyTale - I love those photos from the Storybook Land ride! I had heard of there being little holiday touches put in there, but we didn't make it on to the ride last December, and frankly, I never see any pictures from that ride, let alone ones with holiday decorations. I LOVE that little tree next to the house! Do you have any more from there? I think if ToonTown and A Bug's Land get thier own special Christmas stuff put in, then so should Storybook Land!
