So, what did everybody get for Christmas?

It'll be like show and tell in grade school the first week in January! :rotfl:

I got John Barrowman's "At His Best" CD, the DVD of the "Cyrano de Bergerac" that was staged in New York last year staring Kevin Kline and Jennifer Garner, an iTunes gift card, and a large bottle of Maker's Mark.

Not a bad haul considering we'd agreed to go for a "scaled back" Christmas this year.

Who's next?

My favorite gift was by Disney Dooney and Bourke purse. I was really mean today texting my friend and asking if I was supposed to keep the price tag on it. His response is not repeatable on the boards. :lmao:

A while ago there was a thread about Duffy. I had posted that I bought one for my daughter since she was starting the college program. I knew she posted on the college boards but I didn't know she knew my screen name. So there was no surprise there.:lmao:

I got a trip to Disney in April from my folks to celebrate their 40th Anniversary! Mom wants to celebrate there, so they bought me and my partner tickets and a room so we can join them.

I would say I can't wait... but I leave tomorrow for my first Disney Cruise! That is my present from my partner's parents (which my partner had to convince them to invite me to, but I will take it). My first trip with his family. I am a bit nervous. We have been together for over 11 years now, and they have just recently warmed up to me. His 9 year old nephew said last night that he was afraid we wouldn't play with him because we would be out looking for girls. :lmao: I can guarantee him 100% that won't be the case. This could be interesting. Wish me luck!

After we said we weren't exchanging this year, my husband bought me an IPAD! WOO :cool1: HOO! ;) Luckily, I had been saving and bought him a flat screen for the bedroom.

The best gift was our daughter's face waking up, running to the tree, and seeing what Santa left for her.

MAGIC!

Another great gift: being snowed in here on Long Island, staying in our pajamas, and playing Wii all day!!

It was a great Christmas. I received the Toy Story 3 DVD so I can cry at will at the end every time I watch it. I also received a Keurig coffee maker and XM radio for my car and home. My best present ever was the two homemade cards made by my boys to me. I'll cherish them forever.

We were broke, so I didn't get anything. I got DP a snuggie, and we went to Trail's End. That was all the Christmas gifts our house saw :rotfl:

I got a cute jacket from my sister.

and a GPS for my escapades through unknown places, and some new jeans and shirts from the Rents and work. um .. OH, Epic Mickey for the Wii and some new CDs.

I got a Disneyland Deluxe annual pass! Woo Whoo!!!

Also got clothes and books and tools and movies.... and a husband. :)

I must be really hard to buy for. I got PH Changes, iTunes, Target, Dillards and Disney gift cards. And lots of cash.

Oh and a DVD and a cute bear stocking cap. :) I posted it to FB. SO cute.

Wow!

I hope they punched air holes in the box before they wrapped him and put him under the tree!

:rotfl:

The husband and I got $50 Disney Gift cards each for our upcoming trip. Both our moms gave us US$ cash, in total an extra $200 each for trip. Note from my mom: "No McDonalds!!"

I got myself and the husband trooper outfits (we hope to join the 501st after we fix them up)

We're considering a giant bow on the new toilet we're having installed on Thursday. The Tuesday before Christmas was spent cleaning up the dining room from the "flooding from above". The plumber came with a temporary fix and is coming back Thursday to install a new one.

While many have asked why we don't do it ourselves. As we like to say "We're not that kind of lesbians" but we bake a mean cookie.

I did get 2 brand new pillows and the kids got DP "mommy" 2 Camilia charms for her Pandora bracelet.

Feeling particularly blessed in the cooking department this year - I managed to get both the latest Nigella and Jamie Oliver (UK Chefs you may have heard of) cook books, lots of Joseph Joseph cooking tools, some hot chilli fairy lights and a musical cake slice (really really dont ask!!)

Also big thanks go out to the rest of the family who all got us USD for our next trip to the World in 2011.

Biggest gift however was the last minute addition of 5 members of our family to our initmate celebrations - really really made Christmas extra special.

Hope you all had amazing times.

Jim and the Dazzler xx

loves me some Nigella! Is it the book with the coca cola glazed ham?!

Heheheh Already have that one - and that glazed ham was part of my xmas celebration this year - No this is a new one here in the UK called Kitchen, which celebrates Nigellas love affair with food - its all about everyday eating, which is a departure from her "celebrations" focussed cookbooks.

Is very loverly!!!

Jim
