Christmas party vs EPCOT?

I have 159 days until my trip!

we currently have a 5 day 4 night stay at POP during the holiday season. (Just upgraded to POP from ASmu for like $50 bucks total!!)

I originally got 3 day park tickets but now I’m definitely going to add a park day as experiencing EPCOT is a must for us (best roller coaster in the park? + literally everything else about it)

I just need to figure out how to go about doing it.

I have two options. Purchase the Christmas party package and have our MK day start at 4pm for the Christmas party (idk if could we get everything done?)

OR

Just buy another park day and forgo the Christmas party.

If we did that the schedule would be more like

Monday: arrive; AK

Tuesday: HS

Wednesday: MK

Thurs: EPCOT

Friday: depart

WITH MVMCP the schedule would look like this

Monday: arrive, AK

Tuesday: resort hop; MK at 4pm

Wednesday: EPCOT

Thurs: HS

Friday: depart

The cost difference isn’t too crazy. With doing the Christmas party being only $100 or so more total than buying another ticket outright.

Thoughts?

It depends on how badly you want to do the party. Id personally forego the party and do the full MK day.Take the $100 saved and buy holiday snacks at Epcot.
I don’t really want to do the party THAT bad.. I was just wondering if it’d be an experience we should try and do

Unless you want to experience the party extras that are not available during the day, I would recommend as others have said, going to the MK on a party day. The early closing discourages many so crowds are historically lower on party days.

I would do a full non-party day so you see fireworks and still experience the night at MK. Don't reserve a party day. IMHO

Epcot is amazing at Christmas. We went last year. Just going to all the different Santa storytellers was great. So much to do.

For me, it comes down to how much you want to see the special events at the MK party - the fireworks are gorgeous (but so is HEA on a regular day), but the parade is meh, IMHO. I, personally, think the Christmas happenings available on a regular ticket at EP are better than the MK party. Touring the deluxe resorts and seeing the Christmas decoration at Ft. W are also a great way to experience the holiday without buying a party ticket. I would do whatever option gives you the most time in MK - I find, when I go to the party, I spend so much time waiting for special events that I never get on many rides.

I'm another vote for no party and full day at the MK.

I have done the Christmas party twice for my young girls (in the past), but now that they are adults, we have no desire to do the party anymore. My best suggestion to you is to go on YouTube, and go to ResortTV1, and look at one of their past live streams from December when they were at the Christmas party. This way you can see if this party is something you would like to do or not.

We will be there the same week! 🥳 This is my first time going during the Christmas season and the party is a must-do for me! How often do you go? Will you regret missing the party, or would you rather have a full park day at Magic Kingdom?

As much as I'm looking forward to MVMCP, I've heard EPCOT and Hollywood Studios are beautiful at Christmas and you might not even regret missing the party with all there is to see and do.
