we bought tickets to Christmas party for December 1st but we are not able to go now. We were taking May daughter, son in law and grandchild and my daughter got pregnant. She claims it wasn't planned but that's another story.

My question are we screwed or do we have options?

Call Disney's ticketing department and explain your situation. The CM may be able to offer you a refund. Good luck!

I'm a little confused. She doesn't want to go to the party because she's pregnant? I've not been to a MVMCP ever, but I've been to Disney while pregnant and I had a great time. She would be fine going to the party while pregnant.

Anyway, I'm not sure about the answer to your question. I attended EMM in May and after I booked, they sent email with all of those kinds of details.

In addition, you can call Disney directly and ask if someone can help you. Good luck!

Why can't you go? Will she be too far along to travel by December? I would say you and your grandchild go. Make it a special trip for you. I am not sure the return policy for party tickets, but if you call and tell them the situation then they might refund you. I honestly wouldn't let her pregnancy ruin or cancel your trip.

Folks...the OP asked a question and we can help provide an answer as well as some personal past experiences with similar situations. But this is absolutely NOT the place to be questioning the OP about the pregnancy or how it might impact the family travel plans. Yes, we all love WDW and can't think of a possible reason not to go even if that means strapping dead Aunt Edna to the roof of the car. (OK. So that was a WallyWorld reference, but you get the point). But let's not allow our obsession to creep its way into other people's personal business.

Technically tickets are non refundable. All you can do is call and ask and see if they will make an exception. Hopefully they will, but you may be stuck with the tickets.

This is a discussion board. OP mentioned the specific reason why she desires the cancellation. Perhaps if her daughter can be re-assured that Disney is fun while pregnant, they may not have to cancel their plans.

I don't think that what I said was at all out of line. It's relevant to the discussion. I've been to Disney while pregnant, so I feel I have a worthwhile opinion on the subject.

And I'm not really sure why you feel that those of us who commented regarding the pregnancy have an "obsession" of some kind.

Also, if you feel I've broken a rule, there's a "report" button you can press and a moderator will take care of it, rather than lecturing me.

Are you kidding?

Um, thanks for the lecture?
If it wasn't to be discussed, then maybe the OP shouldn't have offered up that little nugget of information...

the comedy on this board... :rotfl:

If you call ticketing and they won't refund, I'd just start a thread on here entitled "Selling MVMCP Tickets for December 1st". Offer a teeny weeny discount and they'll be gone before you know it.

Yes, I am kidding. Everyone...please feel free to lecture the OP about what one can and cannot do when pregnant. Please give them your keenest insights on how they should plan their family vacations because you all know their situation better than they do. Never mind that what they wanted to know was if the tickets could be refunded. You all know that what they really need to learn is how they can still go even though they have already decided not to. Carry on.

No one was lecturing OP.

If you make a post, any information you include can and will be commented on.

She didn't have to include the pregnancy information. But she did, so those of us with anecdotal evidence are trying to be reassuring and helpful.

People reconsider their vacation choices all the time.

The only option at this point is for the OP to call Disney. There is no re-selling of non transferable tickets here on the Disboards
