I saw on touring plans up to $249 a night. Wow . We paid $109 in 2019 ( I think we had a $10 dvc discount ) but wow

Not to defend Disney (esp when I'm still waiting on over 2K USD refund for my Premier Pass...) but this isn't a party; it's an After Hours event. An AH that has a full parade AND FWorks?! I've planned our vacations the last 2 years based on AH events (we were at the very first ones offered at both AK and DHS) and as long as they keep the capacity w/in that same AH level, then I'll pay those prices. While I love both the Halloween and Christmas parties in the past, WAY too many people were there. We are there for 3 AH offerings in Dec...I'm looking to book 2 days.

The after hour parties are always way more expensive then the Halloween/Christmas parties because attendance is much more limited.

But yeah, way too rich for my blood.

Wait. There's a parade? I didn't read that anywhere. I know are the "cavalcades".

Taken from the website…..

Catch a Christmastime Parade and More!

Get in the Christmas spirit with a parade, fireworks and more.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade: Wave to Disney friends during a holiday parade brimming with joy and magic. This jolly procession begins with Mickey and Minnie, and ends with an appearance by Santa Claus himself!
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show: Feast your eyes on a scintillating fireworks display, hosted by Minnie Mouse. See the sky light up in dazzling colors to the tune of favorite Christmas carols.
Club Tinsel Dance Party: Club Tinsel in Tomorrowland becomes the coolest place to get down when denizens of the North Pole drop by for the cheeriest dance party in the whole Magic Kingdom park!

Thanks but no thanks. Wonderland has Winterfest which is much cheaper and almost as magical. I can go skating in front of the mountain.

Here is the link to the event details:

Holy mom of the mouse that's $$. Although I get there is a tremendous price distinction between after hours events and the seasonal parties we used to enjoy. They aren't the same animal. It also looks like this is plussed up with a parade and party specific fireworks which also cranks the price.

I have no interest in after hours parties. I don't care as much about low waits or walk ons for rides. I don't care about 'free' popcorn, pop and mickey bars. I only want the unique entertainment and from the looks of the Boo Bash, this was gutted severely.

I wonder if WDW will ever go back to the regular MNSSHP and Christmas party that we all loved?

They were somewhat affordable depending on the size of your family. But I imagine if we thought they were crowded pre-pandemic, they would be crazy packed if offered now.

We were there 1 year for christmas. For us,it just wasn't worth it.The extra cost for transportation, parks and crowds, were something I was concerned about, but we had to try it ourselves.Biggest dissapointment for me though, believe or not, was it didn't feel like christmas at all.

we’re going to be at the parks for the first night, and between the crazy crowds right now, and the fact that we won’t have our kids, so we can stay until 1, we’ll likely pay for it.
I’m hoping the price was done to offset low crowds, and I don’t end up paying almost $200 for a crowded park

I thought Boo Bash was expensive 😂 I am going to Boo Bash. I have never done an after hours event (harder to justify cost when you are AP) So, we’ll see how that goes. I *might* go to WDW in December. Haven’t decided yet, as I also have another 2 week trip at end of January.
