How crowded is the second parade? It will be just DH and I for this trip and I know many with young kids will want to see the earlier show. Our goal is to be on main street for the parade (normally we are up near the haunted mansion when we watch parades) I am hoping that the second will have a better chance to be on Main St.

1. Much less than the first one.
2. Many times better, with far fewer other guests.

Parades were at 8:15 and 10:30. Holiday Wishes was at 9:30. Generally the second parade is less crowded.

So to piggyback on the question - do most people watch parade 1 and then stay in their spot for fireworks (or watch fireworks and then immediately get a spot for parade 2)? I'm having a big of trouble figuring out when to be where.

Add in the shows, too, and I'm even more confused.

(At the moment, I'm thinking of avoiding main street and hub area as much as possible and watchful fireworks from behind).

1. Some do. Depends on where they are standing.
2. Some do.
3. The fireworks shows are designed to be experienced from the northern part of Main St. and/or the Hub. You can certainly watch elsewhere (and see fireworks and hear the audio) but it won't be the show as it is intended. (Kind of like watching a play from backstage.)
4. After the fireworks, you can find a spot along the route for Parade 2, if you like.
