We will be going to Disney Dec. 15-20. Will the parade and shows at the Magic Kingdom be the Christmas parade and shows, or will we have to go to MVMCP to see those? This is our first time to visit Disney at Christmastime.

I'm pretty sure the Christmas parade, fireworks and special shows are only shown at MVMCP until the week of Christmas.

I've heard of a special presentation of the fireworks and shows but only once or twice as a surprise special treat (the show was on a Saturday/one performance and the fireworks were on a weeknight when there was no MVMCP as a test performance).

If you want to be guaranteed to see them, you'd have to attend a party.

That's a great question, I would like to know as well. We were there Dec. 04 during the same time frame and the afternoon parade was the Christmas Parade. We did not do the MVMCP, but did get to see the Christmas parade and all the other beautiful decorations ~ even the snow as we left in the evening after the fireworks.

The Christmas parade moves to the afternoon AFTER the last party day.

Since they've added dates so close to Christmas, your dates mean it will only be running at night during the parties.
