christmas parade taping?

I'm not sure if anyone posted this before. I didn't find it, so here it goes.
Does anyone know when they tape the christmas parade at MK? I heard that it was during the first week of december. That is when I will be there and I thought if they would be doing it then we could watch it then instead of the night we go to MVMCP. That way we have more time to do the other things at the party. So does anyone know about this? Is it crowded during the taping? I figured we would probably have to get a spot pretty early. Any help would be great! Thanks!

We were lucky enough last year to be there on 12/3 when they taped the parade. I got my picture taken with Wayne Brady, he is so nice!

It took all day and they do the parade in segments not all the way through. Plus the parade on tv has extra floats in it. It is different than the MVMCP.

We had a lot of fun watching them film and see ourselves on tv Christmas Day.

We were lucky enough to be there for the taping of the Christmas Parade back in December of 2000. I remember it so well- we were at MVMCP on Friday, December 1st and had great seats (on Main Street) for Christmas parade- when about 1/2 hour before the parade started they were rolling out cameras and tv crew to tape the event. We asked the CM what they were taping for and he said the were taping segments for the airing on TV. It made it so much more magical b/c when we got home we watched oursleves on the parade on TV!!
