Our family was at MK on the 4th and 5th when they were taping segments for the parade. Today we watched the show, but I don't recall the sky being so beautifully and brilliantly blue and clear! The 4th it was drizzly and overcast and the 5th was partly sunny but definitely with patches of clouds. Now, I know they had tons of floodlights shining down on the floats and performers to simulate the sunlight/daylight, but how did they manage to get those shots of blue sky in the background? Or was I just inside a ride during all the clear weather?

I can remember the sky on that Friday being beautiful. I took pictures while we were waiting during the taping.

Yep those are from Friday. Another thing I noticed is they didnt once mention Stitch Great Excape. Or maybe I was in the kitchen snacking on ham and missed it but I know Kelly was saying on the monday following the taping how wet she had gotten and how they had to re do her make up.

You just missed it, they did a segment with Kelly on SGE. They talked about it for a few minutes.

Ohhhhh... I didn't realize they taped it on Friday. We arrived late Friday and didn't go to the parks till Saturday. I get it now :)

There was a segment with Kelly and her son going on Stitch. They had video of them in the attraction and showed Kelly getting wet.

All in all, I didn't really enjoy the show. It seemed to be geared toward children and I just couldn't watch it. I did see the marching soldiers. They are my favorite part of the parade.

I was very disapointed in the parade on TV. We saw the parade wt MVMCP and it was great. On TV, they hardly showed any of it and it was just a big advertisement for Disney and its rides. I give the TV parade show a big 'THUMBS DOWN!!"

We were also at the MK on Dec 4th. HOw does a family get picked to be at the taping? Thanks, Suzy and family :earboy2:

There was a casting call that was advertised. You sign up and you go. They want you to dress in holiday stuff. If it is Disney items that is even better. When they are arranging people they put those people closer to the curb.

If you are in the park that day you are more than welcome to stand there with everyone else and watch them film the parade.

Usually they bring in local families in Orlando area to do the taping. These are usually friends and family memebers of cast memebers. They are given admission to the park and are free to do whatever after the filming is complete.

If you looked to the right before going throught the Parking lot terminal you would have seen about 10 busses and a seperate parking lot for them.

There were groups that were using those busses. Most of us parked in the regular parking lot.

When and where are these advertised? Ed and I are interested in this.
Thanks Suzy
