Christmas Parade Being Filmed This Saturday?!!

They usually perform right in front of the castle.

That was last year's line up. I'm sure they'll have completely different people this year. I wouldn't count on seeing Hannah Montana. Although, Ryan Seacrest may still be hosting.

Thanks for the info!

It appears from the link to Micechat that Miley Cyrus and Ryan Seacrest will both be there again this year. I figure it may be worth a shot! I made sure not to tell DD8 anything...just in case.

I'm so confused. The link posted seems to indicate it is being filmed "this weekend" meaning Veterans Day weekend, and not the 18th. Anyone know which one it really is?

In post #2 they talk about the 18th

It's troo, they doo...

We have changed our trip around based on this news. 18th will be Universal Studios instead of Disneyland. We were going to do Universal on the 21st, but I don't want any part of this chaos on our first day we've ever been to Disneyland! Besides, Monday should be less crowded right?

When we saw Miley Cyrus, we were having lunch at the corn dog cart and ate at the tables that are right behind the cart. We could see a group of people near the entrance to the first aid center and that's where we saw Miley Cyrus. She was getting her makeup and hair done and a lot of people were wandering over and snapping pictures. So we didn't see her perform; we just saw her getting ready.

Ryan Seacrest will definitely be there tomorrow. He's been saying that on his show for days. He hasn't mentioned Sunday.

Miley was on his show on Tuesday, and he asked her if she was going to be at the parade this year. She said yes, but she seemed a little unsure. So I would say it's a definite maybe.

Here's a link to her interview (scroll down), if you want to see what she said.

We just returned from Disneyland and were there on Saturday. The hub was very difficult to navigate along with Main Street. Saturday was an early entry and we got there about 7:15. After taking a detour to get to Fantasyland we were able to do all of those rides in less than 1/2 hour. Much of Tomorrowland was also open during this time.

The crowds were heavy in the staging areas to get infront of the castle for Josh Grobin?? and the que for the High School Musical audience was huge. We were leaving mid-day and that was the most difficult part because they were starting to film some of the groups performing on the parade route (the only area for this was Main Street from circle to circle). Trying to get out of Disneyland down Main Street was nearly impossible. There were cast members that kept saying "keep moving" but there was no place to go. My DH said "easier said then done" to one of them and all they could say in response was "I know".

So will they be filming again on the 18th? I would like to see them film a little. We will be going for Thanksgiving also. I will go Sunday just to watch them film though.

Also this is a little off topic where is the corn dog cart located? I semi look for it when we are there but most of the time I forget. :rolleyes1

Are they filming Sunday Nov. 18th? That is when we will be there:scared1:

I was there on saturday with my cousins... let me tell you from first hand experience.. it was AMAZING! Don't let the parade taping scare you if you are planning on going this weekend. It had to be one of the best days at disneyland I have ever had. My advice to anyone going: Don't TRY. Just enjoy yourselves. Do not wait in line for Highschool musical for 4 hours.. We got in line at the very end of the Queue when they were filing in and we got the best spots out of everyone (we were above everyone on the curb by the producers and cameras), Do not sit and save spots for the parade for 3 hours+.. I ran into some friends there and it was 1245 when the parade taping started and they hadnt done anything besides sit and wait. We had already been on 1/2 the rides, seen highschool musical and eaten lunch! We found incredible spots right next to the stage where Ryan Seacrest was hosting right when the parade started. No waiting involved. We never waited longer than 20 minutes for any ride we went on.. and we went on all of them. It was easy to get around.. Seemed like most of the crowd was sitting around all day while we were utilizing the time. The parade festivities went on from 8am to 3 pm.. Then after that they were done for the day. It was not a damper on the day whatsoever.

So enjoy the parade day!

Since there were filming last weekend, I seriuosly doubt they will be filiming on the 18th. It's a continuity and celebrity scheduling thing. No need to worry.

Corn Dog Cart is on the right side of Main Street when facing the castle. It is just past the Kodak store between the First Aid Station and the Plaza.

I can't wait to have a corn dog in three days!!!!!

Oh at the cart that always has a long line? I thought that was popcorn. Never really looked.:)

Thanks.

Not that I know anything but... my guess would be they will be filming again the 18th b/c the castle decorations will be finished by then and I'm sure they want to show it on the parade, its supposed to be a HUGE deal this year right? I so wish I was going to see the castle in snow and ice! :(
