Christmas Parade at MK

Hi, can anyone tell me what is the best time to sit for the Christmas Parade at MK? Is the parade in the morning? This will be the first trip to Disney during Christmas. Any help would be appreciated.....

The parade was taped the first weekend in December. If you plan on going to MK on Chrsitmas day your best bet would be to be there at opening since the park will fill to capacity very early.

Once the Very Merry Christmas Parties are over, they start running the Christmas parade at 3PM in the MK. So, somewhere around Dec 22 or so, they should start having the same parade in the daytime that they had at the party at night. This parade runs until about Dec 31 or Jan 1. Then it goes back to the regular 3PM parade.

If you want a front row spot to watch the afternoon parade, you may need to stake out your spot no later than an hour before, maybe even earlier on Christmas.

Or you can watch the Christmas Day parade from the comfort of your resort room around 10 AM or so. If the local ABC affiliate runs the parade that morning.

This is my favorite parade. I saw it both times at mvmcp on Tuesday, the 12th. The 1st was at 8:15 or 8:30 and the 2nd at 10:45. It was amazing. Get your spot about 30 min. early.

On Christmas the mvmcp parade will be shown at 12:30 and 3:30.

The Christmas Parade will be presented as the daytime parade in MK starting on December 23 through December 31 and is at 12:30pm and 3:30pm! Like any other "double" parade, the second one tends to be less crowded. Good rule of thumb is to watch people, once you see people starting to sit then go ahead and find your spot. Usually about an hour to an hour and half prior to the parade, Main Street will start to get busy... Liberty Square and Frontierland tend to fill in a little later, but the parade starts in Frontierland and ends on Main Street, so Frontierland / Liberty Square is a great place to sit and watch it.
