Christmas/NewYears weather

It varies. We go for Christmas every year ... The majority of the time it is nice and sunny ... shorts & t-shirt weather even ... or at least jeans and t-shirt weather. There have been days in the mid 90s even ... But you can also have cold snaps ... like wear long underwear freezing type of weather (okay, not freezing if you live in the north ... but cold).

Prepare for all types of weather. My daughter lives down there. One year on Christmas Day they spent the entire day enjoying the ocean and beach. By New Year's she was in a Jacket with light weight gloves and hat.

It often gets chilly at night sitting and waiting for fireworks. Disney will send out hot chocolate carts and have blankets for sale in the gift shops just as they bring out ponchos when it rains. I've typically worn my hat and gloves while waiting for Illuminations because that lake breeze can be brutal. One year it was really cold and I wore my wool and fleece hat all day for most of the trip. Kids can get really cold if they are sitting in their strollers and not moving much. Days are often sunny and warm though.

We were there the week following NYE 2 years in a row for the marathon and it was cold! Especially in the morning. I'm talking coats, gloves, hats. The first year we weren't prepared for it. We wore long sleeves all day, but ditched the jackets in the afternoon. I'm sure it varies year to year, but if I were to go back again that time I'd be prepared with sweaters and scarves. The one day it rained all morning and the high was in the 50s (if it even hit that). We were on the Keys to the Kingdom tour so we were outside a lot and I was frozen.
There were carts selling hats and gloves in the parks. They were expensive though.

40s-80s and everything in between. You can't always trust the week long forecast before you go either, as the weather can change on you pretty quickly.

We were there New Year's Day 2018 and it was windy, in the 40s and raining! It froze some nights we were there. Other years it's been warm. We are going again this year and will pack for warm weather but will have a few key cold weather garments just incase. Hats and gloves have a big impact and don't take up much room in your luggage.
