We are staying at POR Dec 15-22 and I want to decorate our room just a little. I have a small tree that I can put on the table but I was wondering if you can put lights around the window? If not I could put them around the bathroom mirror or something. Has anyone done or seen this?

I've done it and I've seen others with lights also :santa: You can use battery lights or bring an extension cord. I used plastic suction cups to hold the light s up. Have fun!

Thanks! Suction cups, great idea. I would have take tape:laughing:. We've been many times but never at Christmas. We are so excited you would think it's our first time.

Don't use tape unless you are prepared to scrape every little bit off and be sure it doesn't damage any painted areas. If you do cause damage or leave anything that has to be cleaned, Disney has the right to charge you a fee for that additional cleaning. Always only use products that will not cause any issues for mousekeeping at the end of your stay.

Suction cups will be good I think. I'll take some windex just in case the cups make a ring. No worries, I won't leave a mess :santa:

We did this little "display" on the windowsill a few years ago. Nothing much - just a decoration of a bear band skating around and playing music to which we added some lights. All on the windowsill, no tape, no hooks, no nothing. We turned it on every day before we left.

One day, we forgot and when we can back, those bears were skating and the lights were flashing.

Housekeeping didn't mind for us. They made the magic for when we got back.

Just wanted to share that our family will also be at POR from Dec 15-22!!!!!

We cannot wait! It will be our first time staying on property and our 2nd visit to WDW!

:)

Happy Trip Planning!

We have taken a mickey wreath with battery operated lights and suction cups to WL and CSR and never had a problem. We have had a lot of comments on it.

Many Guests decorate their resort windows at WDW.:)

It really adds a lot to the "atmosphere".:)

There are also some very small;):) displays by Guests staying at Fort Wilderness.:)

Planning the trip is half the fun! You will love Riverside. Our room will be the one with the lights LOL.

Ahh, wreath for the door, I hadn't thought about that. I just ordered one today from the Boy Scouts. I could add the Disney touch. Great idea.
