Am I correct in remembering we are not allowed to have strings of Christmas lights in our cabins? QVC has battery operated light strands for tomorrow's special value. Didn't want to buy them if I don't have a use for them.

Thanks,
Kim

I am pretty sure I read "no" to lights.
Wonder if that just meant the plug in kind?

I know it was "no" lights on the doors, referring to battery operated lights.

I don't see any problems with having battery powered lights inside your room. You may bring a flashlight. You may bring a book light. Why not this?

If you decide to take them and put them up inside your room, I would let my cabin steward know and show him or her that they are battery operated.

No lights, battery or electrical are permitted in the cabins or on the doors of the ship.

WooHoo! But I guess that means that I can wear my rope light Pirates outfit on Pirate night!!

I thought so, but it doesn't hurt to ask. But I do like the rope light idea for the pirate costume.
