Christmas lights and parade.

Had a quick search but didn’t find anything on this so…..


After a wee bit of help, we are planning on a WDW trip for Thanksgiving 2011. When do Disney normally turn on the Christmas lights in the parks?? I believe the Christmas parade starts the week before Christmas, but what about Mickey’s Christmas Party, when does that normally start??.

Mickeys very merry xmas party starts straight after halloween.

We flew out on thansgiving day last year and all the xmas stuff was in place - osbourne lights, candlelight processional etc.

The decorations start going up in November straight after halloween.

Unless you have a special reason for going thanksgiving week i'd avoid it, the crowds are 9 or 10/10 busy. the next two weeks are alot quieter, a great time to go.

Many Thanks, We have friends that just moved to Fl, so we were wanting to take in thanksgiving with them. We’re looking at Thanksgiving covering the first or last couple of days so we avoid the crowds for most of the trip.
