where are your favourite places to be on xmas day in disney?? this will be our first xmas there and would love to know all ur suggestions xx :santa:

We have been to AK, MK, Seaworld and last Christmas we went to play crazy golf at Blizzard Beach & then had ice cream at the Yacht & Beach club. I like to book an evening meal at one of the resort hotels :) We have enjoyed every one - even just staying at the villa one year and going out in the evening. What are you thinking of doing?

that all sounds lovely! im thinking of doing crystal palace mk for breakfast then chef for evening meal mickey's and fireworks at mk maybe go back to the villa in the afternoon for a rest! its just a work in progress at the minute! :confused3 :santa:

We've done DTD before now on Christmas morning and also done the rounds of mini golf. One year we stayed at St Petes and spent the day on the beach. Just hope it's better weather than last time we went at Christmas in 06, we had tornados!
The plan this time is to have brekkie at Captain Cooks at the Poly then go into MK (just for atmosphere really) then enjoy BLT and any activities at the Contemporary. Then, will be booking 1900 Park Fare for dinner and will spend some time at Grand FL looking at decs. :) :)

tink2312 i think ur plan sounds great! i want to take the kids to see santa in the contemporary before xmas day and see the decs! i absolutely love disney decs!!! my tree at home is all the decs i have bought and my sister has brought me back on her many trips!:worship: im sad i cant put them up this year but looking forward to getting baubles with both 2011 and 2012 on! :) its my guilty pleasure!!
can u tell im sooooo excited!!!:santa:

We had an early breakfast at Crystal Palace and spent the day in MK (which wasn't that busy actually), had a late lunch (about 2:30pm) at Tony's and left the park about 5pm then spent the evening at Celebration.

Enjoy your planning - what better combination is there than Disney and Christmas!! :goodvibes

It would be great to have breakfast at CP - first thing - will your kids be up early to get there?

If you ate later at Chefs Mickeys you could always walk across to the MK for a few hours.

Last Christmas we went into MK on Christmas Eve and stayed until it closed - i think we got back about 1.30am - but it was great and my DD was just running off of Thunder Mountain and going straight back on :)

I'm very jealous of you all. I would absolutely love to go at christmas, but unfortunately unless I give up my job I'll never be able to do it. The NHS doesn't allow any of its staff time off either christmas or new year week. :sad2:

oh my children will definitely be up early enough i have an 8 month old who loves to see 6am on the clock when she rises!!! lol! i think cp breakfast is going to be a must and like you said where better to be on xmas morning than mk!!!

arh i feel for you working for the nhs! my sis in law also is a nurse but luckily she only qualified last year so is employed through the nurse banking at the min so can pick and choose shifts!

We decided to mark Christmas Eve with the Candlelit Processional at Epcot. Fantastic! We ate a Le Cellier. We woke on Christmas morning and found a gift bag of sweets hanging on our door (from Santa!!!). We headed to Contemporary for Christmas morning service and then to Chef Mickey's for breakfast. We went to Magic Kingdom to see the parade etc and had our Christmas dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern (Turkey and stuffing etc) A great tip from a Cast member was to go to Walmart on Boxing Day for the start of their Christmas sale. Unbelieveable prices. I had to buy another suitcase to bring everything home.

I would do Epcot and go to the Candlelight Ceremony. It is absolutely beautiful and made our Christmas even more magical.

ooo the candle light ceremony at epcot sound fab going to google it now! thanks!!!
:santa::santa:

The Candlelight Processional is wonderful - THE best and most magical thing on property at Christmas IMHO. We must have seen it about 6 times on different trips. Planning to see it 2 if not 3 times this trip. We don't bother queuing to sit down anymore and instead just enjoy the show from a distance. We're planning on seeing it on Christmas eve, hopefully after having eaten at Biergarten :)

Hiya Miss Pickle we r flying from Manchester! i am getting really excited planning for our trip!!! where are you flying from? xx

We did MK on Xmas morning just for the atmosphere, but got there early and got out at about 11 as it was crazy busy:scared1: We went back the resort to open presents and relax, then went for dinner at the Whispering Canyons in the Wilderness lodge. They have great decorations and it is a fun place if you have kids, we then went to the studies in the eveing and just enjoyed the Osborne lights and the atmosphere.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

we have been many times over Xmas and new year- We love it then, but be prepared for it being cold - near zero all day some times. You will probably nead hats/gloves and scarfs and heavy jackets.

Our favourite Xmas day was - lazy morning at villa/condo then going to gaylordpalms hotel for lunch followed by the amazing ICE sculpture show (tickets needed) then either satying for the free evening xmas concert/lazer show in the palms hotel or driving to disney to the polly resort to watch the fireworks from the beach (tip to do this on xmas day or NYE you will need to book an ARD to be allowed to park on site).

Have fun
