The pictures that everyone posted are great but I still have no desire to go there for Christmas, more so then ever. Just doesn't seem like Mickey Mouse country in December with Christmas decorations up. I guess that is me, being from New Englad and growing up in cold weather for Christmas and sometimes snow I Like it that way. Don't get me wrong, I love Disney like the next person, just not at Christmas time. :D

Gail, I find the parks a whole different experience at Christmas...Its truely is breathtaking. We normally sneak down prior to the Holiday, it is a nice break from the cold weather up here. Some incredible things to see during December down there...one thing we saw for the first time this year was Candlelight Processional. It was beyond description. Like you though, we need to be home at Christmas, with the weather and family. :)

I live in a warm climate so it doesn't bother me. :) I would love to have snow on Christmas, though.

Gail I must disagree...You won't believe all of the wonderful decorations that are all Mickey Themed...it is truly a sight to behold....We love taking the trek down just to get into the holiday mood...It's wonderful...Try it ...you'd like it!

You don't have to actually be there on Christmas Day to enjoy all the special events and decorations. We once went the first week of Dec. and it was wonderful! We're thinking of next Dec. also:D

I love Disney during the holidays. I don't think I would ever go there over the actual holiday (I do prefer to be home for that). We went down two weeks ago and got to see Osborne Lights, the Candlelight Processional and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. All really got me in the mood.

As for the cold - when we were down there is felt just about cold enough to be real snow.. :)

WE were there the first half of December 2 years ago and loved it. We want to go for Christmas week sometime too and stay through the first week of January so we have at least one week without crowds. We normally go the first half of January, and find the crowds very thin.

We were there 12/19-12/26. I must say that even with the decorations, parades, and music, it didn't seem all that Christmassy. On the other hand, I think a day at WDW is at least as good as, if not better than, Christmas. Happy New Year.:D

Sorry I thought it was great to walk in a winter wonderland in shorts.

MVMCP was a blast. Nothing like seeing your 6 yo play in the snow in a t-shirt and shorts.

Christmas at Disney is the best!

I don't think I would enjoy being at WDW on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, mainly because the place is mobbed that week.

It's fun to go right after Thanksgiving though, to see all of the decorations.

On the other hand, if I could only make one trip during the year to WDW, I'm not sure I would choose December. Hmmmm...you've given me something to think about

Gail, I certainly agree:D :D :D :D . We love NEW ENGLAND during the holiday season. Often we spend Xmas in San Francisco, and it's simply not the same. I'm sure that WDW looks quite beautiful when it's decorated, but I wouldn't trade if for home during the holidays :D :D .....

Funny you should mention that! Ive always thought the same thing. I would be afraid to get to Florida and be cold. I wouldnt like that too much. However, over the past year, with all the pictures Ive seen, I have started to want to go. Im actually hoping that next year we will be able to make it down there for the holidays.
If I were only going to WDW for 1 trip every few years, or my first trip ever, I wouldnt want it to be at that time, but if we do get APs like we plan to, then I think it would be neat to visit for the holidays once.

:D Oh....I'd love to experience the Christmas season at WDW at least once!!! It looks so pretty, and the CP, and the Lights and the gingerbread houses at the resorts......I just love Christmas so much, if I mixed it with Disney...I'd just be in Heaven! :D

We've been twice in December and I prefer it without the Christmas decor. I think Christmas is enough excitement for me in December alone, without adding a trip to the World. Coming home is too big a letdown for me to get into the Holiday spirit. I like cold and snow at Christmas, this snowy X-mas day was awesome!!
