Christmas ideas for 11 year old girl?

I thought I saw a thread on here for this age group, but I can't find it.

My daughter will turn 11 in a couple weeks (where did that time go?!), and I need ideas for birthday gifts and Christmas. She gave me a wish list, but it's full of stuff like a dachshund puppy, dachshund posters, dachshund clock....well, you get the idea. She loves dachshunds. I bought her a clock, posters and a calendar, so that it taken care of. Unfortunately, we don't have the resources for a puppy right now.

Other gifts we have gotten include a used DS Lite from EBGames, some games for the DS, clothes, PJ's, a couple board games. I need some creative ideas. Her twin brother asked for a certain Nerf gun for his birthday and he's getting it. I have no idea what to get her for her birthday. Can't give her the DS - then she'd have no big gift for Christmas. Help!

Does she like jewelry? Books? My dd is 12 and this year she mostly wants clothes.

have you thought about getting your DD the DS game nintendogs? There is a version where you can have a dachshund. It's not the newest game but DD loves it.

Thanks for the thread! And yes, we did buy the Nintendo Dogz at EB Games with the dachshund puppy in it.
