This question has two parts. 1.) Do you buy or give something to your child's teacher? 2.) What gift is appropriate?
There are some details about our situation that might help with your answer. First, she is a nineteen year old girl that comes to our house once a week and gives my son some very basic lessons. She is not preparing him for competitions or anything like that. She has two recitals a year at her parents home (one is coming up in December, I think, but no date yet???
). This is very inexpensive, low-key kind of situation. She has twelve students and charges each $70 per month for thirty minutes a week.
Thank you!
