When do all of the Christmas decorations and special events start? And what are they? We are thinking about going 1 day while we are in Orlando. We will be there thanksgiving until the following Saturday. I'm thinking about going on Sunday will that be a good day?

Decorations will start going up in early November with everything in place by Thanksgiving weekend. Christmas festivities do not begin until the first weekend of December...this years it's December 6th. Festivities include Grinchmas at IOA and the Macy's Holiday Parade and Christmas concert series at the Studios. All are free with park admission.
