Hey guys! Just a quick one. We're going to DLRP over the Christmas period and are very tempted by the Christmas Eve Character buffet at our hotel (Newport Bay). I have tried to do some research on the previous years same event, and i cant really find much about it. All i know is that last years was only at the Hotel New York, but this time its at every hotel to cater to all of the guests. Its not a cheap meal, going to set us back £150 odd per person and i wanted to know if its worth the money and what you get for the price? Does anyone know from past experience? Any help would be great thanks!!

Its in the Dining section of the winter brochure you can download on the Disneyland Paris website. But theres not much info about it, which is why im hesitant to book it. I might give them a ring and see if they can give me anymore info.

Hi will you let us know what you find out. Im looking at booking a surprise trip on the 12th Dec and if its available around then (5 day trip) I might surprise family!

According to the brochure its only available Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. But after doing some research, looking at Trip Reports, etc from past years it sounds like its really not worth £152 each! I think we're just gonna book Auberge de Cendrillon, Cafe Mickey and Inventions over the period we are there instead. At least i know those are good and worth the money, and seeing as i offered to pay for the meals i dont wanna fork out £600 for 4 of us for ONE meal if it turns out rubbish.

Hi

We were at Disney in 2009 for christmas eve and booked the buffet at santa fe, I forgot that it was Christmas eve doh, and never took a camera but there was Mickey, Minnie, Goofy dressed as father christmas and some mexican characters running around the resturant pretending to shoot each other it was very entertaining.

There were probably other characters but as I said I forgot to take the camera, the food was nice and the desserts were to die for.

Of course because it was Santa Fe it was only around 33 euros each and drinks were separate. But the kids enjoyed themselves and we were stuffed by the end of the night.

Sorry I can't remember much more but hope this helps.

Thankyou for your help guys! I've discussed it with the family and we've decided to do a few different character meals over the 4 days we are there instead of spending £152 each on the christmas buffet one. At least i know that Cafe Mickey, Auberge de Cendrillon, etc are good places where you get your moneys worth :)
