We are going out unexpectedly for Christmas - well we hope but things are liable to change!!
We are very limited due to cash crisis so am wondering if any of you out there can suggest any free or low cost things to do for a week around Christmas - staying in Kissimmee on Lindfields estate.
Hope to have a day at MGM to see the osbourne lights (we have 1 day left on our passes) which day would be best? We arrive on the 22nd and depart on the 29th and Christmas day is booked to be with friends.
I wondered so far about going to Boardwalk and looking at the decorations there and downtown disney
We would like an evening at Pleasure Island.
Anything else anybody can think of?

Why not spend a day resort hopping & looking at the decorations, e.g the gingerbread caroussel at GF? There is also the sleigh rides out at Wilderness Lodge.

All I can think of at the moment is to spend sometime looking around all the resort hotels. The Christmas decorations are lovely.
Have a look at Celebration, they have some beautifully decorated houses there.

That sounds like fun - we havent a car so can we use the disney transport?
I think we can get to celebration on the local bus but not 100% sure about that.

There isn't any direct transport between Disney resorts. But you can Resort hop between the MK hotels that are on the monorail (GF, Contemporary, Poly). If you get off the monorail at MK, you can then get the boat to Wilderness Lodge

You can also resort hop easily between the Epcot resorts too (Swan/Dolphin, Yacht/Beach Clubs and Boardwalk). You can either walk between these, catch the Friendship boat, or hire a Surrey bike to ride between them!

Not sure where the Celebration bus goes to, but you can get a Disney bus from Downtown Disney to the above resorts, or get the boat to POR/POFQ from Downtown Disney
