Three new Christmas Exchanges have just been posted. Yes, yes, yes it is only October, and Halloween has not yet passed, or Thanksgiving. So please, if you wish to say something negative about it being early, please keep it to yourself. I already know this. But there are several reasons for having them early. Some of which is.....
*To beat the holiday rush. Post offices are always busy, and it seems like the closer we get to December, there are more delays in packages arriving along with other mix ups....
*So that everyone is able to enjoy their ornaments, presents, and stocking-contents for the entire Christmas/Winter months.
*Everyone seems to get busy during the holidays, traveling, parties, .... and many do forget the mail by date-
. So as a suggestion to everyone...please mark your calendars with the mail by date for each exchange you sign up for.
*As much as I love these exchanges especially since Chirstmas is my most favorite holiday, I do get busy during these months in my own personal life, and do like to enjoy my holiday season as well. So, as long as everyone who participates follows the rules, posts according, does their share.... everything should go smoothly!
*For all three exchanges, I did not have the same send by date. This will allow participants to focus on each exchange individually if you wish. You may mail out your exchange as soon as you receive your pals info.-(Two thumbs up for those of you who mail out early), but you do have till the send by date, so I know it is hard, but everyone just needs to be patient, and wait for their exchanges to arrive. For those of you who are NEW to these exchanges, I would appreciate if you could mail out your exchanges toward the beginning of the exchange period. Each year, we get new exchangers join in which is great. But at the same time, to ensure that you are doing your part in being in the exchange, it is nice to know that you are not waiting till the last minute to mail out your exchange. *This is a personal thing as well as with the regular exchangers asking me questions when they see a new name pop up that they are not familiar with. This is a good way to get your feet wet into the exchanges-but a warning! Exchanges are addicting
.
***** I WILL BE KEEPING TRACK OF ALL MAILINGS, AND THREADS. DELIVERY CONFIRMATION IS REQUIRED ON EACH EXCHANGE THAT YOU SEND OUT. YOU MUST SEND ME YOUR D.C. NUMBER AS SOON AS YOU HAVE SENT OUT YOUR EXCHANGE, AND POST ON THE PROPER THREAD AS SOON AS YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR EXCHANGE.
*And thank you in advance to all the ELVES out there. If you are not familiar of what an ELF is...it is an exchanger that steps up to send out an extra exchange just in case someone does not come through on their behave. It is sooooooo sad, and sooooooooooooooo dissappointing when someone does not receive an exchange they are sooooooooo looking forward to. So that is when these special ELVES help out. If you are able to be an ELF for any of the exchanges, please let me know. I will only call on you if your help is needed-let's hope that these exchanges DO NOT need an ELF or ELVES.
And last but not least....since there are all these Christmas exchanges, and I will be getting a bunch of different sign up pms, PLEASE on your pm thread, post which Christmas exchange you are signing up for. I do not want to play, let's guess which exchange they would like to sign up for.
**** The monthly Card/Twist Exchange for December with the theme of Christmas/Winter will be posted at the beginning of Nov. For those of you who would like to get a head start on it. The twist is-anything Christmas or winter related.
Did I forget anything?
