christmas elves... (because there are only 158 days til xmas)

so, it's time to start thinking about our christmas elves again... apparently august is "elf month" over on the magical holidays board, I am looking forward to that since I need new elf ideas...

ac moore has little wooden suitcases for a dollar that are the perfect size for your elf... they also may still have the life guard chairs (so for example if your elves decide to go "swimming" in cotton balls while visiting your house, someone can be the life guard... thanks for that idea buffy )

of course, your elves might be visiting now for christmas in july... mine is actually on his way to dd at camp with a bunch of presents. (she will be oh so thrilled...not so much )

keep an eye on the target dollar spot too, last year they had those awesome pet tents...

anyone have any good ideas for their elves for this year?

I got a wonderful text that said the elves had released your from their vacation retreat and you were back on the elf train!


I haven't put any thought to it yet...but the swimming in cotton balls is a must... the kids go back to school early so I can put my thinkin' cap on in a few weeks...

rofl, ah you must have heard from buffy then. I am SO looking forward to elf month on that christmas site.. I need all the new ideas I can get. I have a bunch of stuff I need to paint as well, chairs for the elves, the random piece of trim I bought yesterday at home depot that a) was on clearance and b) will make a fabulous ladder... I think I need a bigger elf box... sigh. oh and I still have to send you and buffy the elf stuff from LAST year... guess I should get busy eh?

I vote for shine, could make for some interesting elf nights.

and she found mini flashlights for the camp out.

elf recruitment posters to print out
paper doll set of all the characters
ornaments to print out and fold (make them 2d) for tree
