I am hosting the drinking portion of a progressive dinner. What drinks are Christmas-y?
I will have wine, beer, and some sort of shot that I will keep in an big bowl of ice. I wanted to have Pomtinis because they are so good but I can't find POM here (they may have real pomegranite juice at an Egyptian store somewhere) and Lemon Vodka is proving difficult as well. If I find pomegranite juice, I will try it with lemon juice and regular vodka.

I need another alcoholic drink and some non-alcoholic drinks as well...for the kiddos. :teeth:

Thanks! :santa:

as for non-alchoholic drinks you could do a berry and sprite/7-up mix... that is always a big hit..

Yes, I think that will be the one I serve. Maybe one other.

Would the bottle be half empty or half full?

1/4 oz Goldschlager® cinnamon schnapps
1/4 oz butterscotch schnapps
1/4 oz Bailey's® Irish cream
1/4 oz Jagermeister® herbal liqueur

lol knowing the crowd that would be shipping,, i'm thinking maybe 1/4 full...lol

irish coffee is good, as is kahluaandcoffee, ameretto and coffee,,

btw i need your address. dw and i found something to send to you..probably to late fort christmas, but will still send it anyway,

We make a non-alcoholic punch that tastes great and looks pretty too. I leave alcohol on the counter for those who like to spike it.

1 (or more) 2-liter bottle 7-Up
Rainbow sherbet (plain raspberry is best, but I can't always find it)

Pour the 7-Up into a punch bowl; add 5-6 scoops of sherbet. It will get frothy and foamy, so leave plenty of space in the punch bowl. I end up refilling 2 or 3 times during the party. It's very festive - I add a few drops of red food coloring too.

You could also do mulled cider - maakes the house smell great too.

Imagine that, you were asked to host the drinking portion of a progressive dinner :rotfl: :rotfl: I see your new friends know you well :teeth:

I volunteered. It seemed the best fit for me. :teeth:

I will also be making something for the main meal. Because...no one else will.

We have an ok-stocked bar here, but I can't even find Lemon Vodka at the store in Cairo...how will I find the stuff to make those fancy things? :lmao:

What about Christmas Charades? I am making up a version of Christmas Cranium for another party...so I have to think of a lot of things for them to do/sculpt/draw...

Any ideas?
So far I have
TMX Elmo and Grandma getting run over by a reindeer.

I think my mom used to do that -- one with 7-up, and one with champagne I think. I remember it was delicious.

Briarmom -- it would be ALL full if I sent it...not a big fan of vodka!

I don't know if 'I really miss my booze' will be a good enough reason in:
