i want to buy my daughters some christmas dresses for our christmas trip to wdw. is velour and long sleeve too much for florida in december? i like velour cuz its comfy and long sleeves are usually typical of velour. what do you think? are they going to be too hot?

During the day, yes I think it would be too hot. At night probably not.

You never can tell with FL weather. It could be fine but would she be more comfy in pants?

i have 3 daughters and i like to dress them matching. we did black cords and matching sweaters last christmas. this christmas i promised that we could get dresses. we are eating at night (christmas eve) and brunch on christmas morning. i am now thinking skirts and short sleeved tops for day and long sleeved for night. would that work? and what about coats? will we need just jackets or full blown winter coats. we are from canada (bc) so cold weather has to be really cold for us to be bothered by it!

Generally in December you'll need some type of light jacket in the early morning, the afternoon warms up (shorts & t-shirts) and then a light jacket/sweater again at night.

Having said that, I've been in December and never had the temp get above 50° (and most of the time it was colder than that) and I've been and never needed a sweater/jacket, even at night. The best thing to do is to bring clothing so you can dress in layers.
