We are arriving Christmas afternoon and would like recommendations for a nice dinner. We will not be spending any time in the parks on arrival day, my family includes DS20,DD15,DH, and myself. Considering doing the DDP.

Thanks

We have been to wdw for the last 5 xmas weeks, but have not always included xmas day. Once we had late dinner at Artist Point in WL on xmas night..it was wonderful and the decorations and fireplace at WL really make for a great holiday. We even took boat over to MK after for a few hours of touring. Another year we dressed in xmas sweaters and nice pants for the ladies and khakis and polo shirts for DH and DS(16) and had 9pm xmas night dinner at CG and got to see Wishes from our table(although 2 in our party went out to observation deck). The meal was amazing and again, made for a great holiday atmosphere. We have also been there for xmas eve and did CP package with dinner in Japan and the show really makes the holiday special...

We've had Christmas dinner in the parks: Tutto and Biergarten and both were good. Had a Thanksgiving meal at Kona that was great and one at Wolfgang that was not so good. I would look into the restaurant at the hotel where you are staying so you have convenience. Most of them have special dinners for the holidays.

Thanks for the replies, we are staying at SSR and are considering either 1900 Park Fare, WCC, or Ohana's. I wasn't sure if the menus would be as usual or is there a special holiday menu. I assume if they do have a holiday menu that Disney would publish that prior to our 180 day mark.

Great question... thinking about this as well.

We were definitely thinking Artist Point at WL. I think the atmosphere will make it magical. Only problem is that it's hard to see the fireworks, especially if the park's crowded and when can't get in due to full capacity.

In terms of inside the parks, I was thinking of playing it safe with Le Cellier in Epcot. I know Liberty Tree Tavern usually does holiday meals.

Sorry this isn't much help... we haven't been back for Christmas Day/Eve in a long, long time. Anxious to see what other posters suggest...

What we have experienced is that there is a holiday entree/dessert in addition to regular menu(at least when we have been). allears has sample holiday menus from xmas/NYE, etc for an idea of past.

I think WL dinner at Artist Point really is a great holiday meal and sit by the fireplace before or after!

I've been trying to figure out the same thing. From what I've been able to piece together from the boards and allears.net (info for Christmas 2009), WCC has a special Christmas skillet and that's the only thing you can order and Ohana has the normal menu. I haven't seen anything on 1900 Park Fare. It sounds like the holiday menus don't come out until very close to Christmas.
