HIYA UK:

My family will be in London for the holidays and would like some suggestions for Christmas Dinner.

It is appearing to me as I do my research, that many restaurants are going to either be closed or closing by 3pm.

We are planning on doing the DICKENS WALK in Trafalgar Sq @2pm on the 25th and was hoping to eat AFTER the walk....but now I am wondering if that is not a good decision.

Any ideas at all for PUB style food around TS after our 2 hour walk...? :confused3

Maybe we should do a HUGE brunch before the walk and get something really lite in the evening.

HELPPPPPPPPP!!!!! :guilty:

You will definately need to book for Christmas lunch. In fact you may have left it too late. The pubs tend to only open at lunch time on Christmas day. I guess the hotels may still be offering a service. In the past we have often gone out for Christmas lunch (hotels, pubs and even a Greek restaurant) but bookings are taken a long time in advance.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Susan: Would you be able to recommend any or a website for me....ahhhh....I guess I may have missed the ball on this one.... :guilty:

I will have to then maybe get some groceries on the 24th and eat something at my B&B! :guilty:

:sad2:

If you are staying in Central London there could be places open. You could do a search on the internet for local restaurants or hotels and e:mail them to ask if they are open.

I live on the outskirts of London and practically everything closes on Christmas Day. I have worked the lunch time shift of a pub on Christmas day before but most shut in the evenings so the staff can have a Christmas meal.

Good luck

Susan
